The death of the V10's V8's V6's normally aspirated engines is slowly happening due to ever increasing demand from the EU on emissions control and the number of new car buyers are dwindling so lets all celebrate and enjoy them now as in 10 years they will not exist any more

I'm not sure it's over, the Germans are still going at it quite nicely, and figuring out ways to keep their overall CO2 emissions down so they can keep the big engines going.

Plus the figures of the latest Merc 500s (4.7ltr twin turbo V8) are truly astonishing so some companies are working on making these engines more fuel efficient.

Assuming we haven't changed fuel source by then, in 10 years there's a good chance V8s could be as frugal as a Prius :winky:

I wouldnt think its over either, Lexus just need to improve on few things here and there but that comes down to costs as most things ! + like of BMW, Mercs been around long before Lexus brand, also if a decline in say certain luxury cars/brands well Infiniti (nissan luxury division)recently came on sale to Europe, if they knew by looking at BMW / Lexus no demand nowadays dont think Nissan would of introduced it to europe. + they do look nice but Infiniti over Lexus?? you serious lol however they do have certain cars lexus dont like a G37 coupe :) so that can be a exception lol

Thanks for help yes didnt think of the headlight level being right that bit,, nope mine dont have HID ! also as i remember my dads old altezza also didnt have headlight levelling i think its done manually as it didnt have the head light level adjust switch like is200/300

Changed some headlight bulbs to better ones but while doing so i found this, i think i know but just wanna be sure, i marked the pic so hopefully thats clear enough !

Is this the auto headlights ? its not HID / xeonon is it ? as im very certain mine dont have hid/xenon lights, mines a 2003 IS200 with auto headlights on the light stalk i dont really use often and the bulbs i changed are HB4, they work tho! . I only ask as i remember my dads old imported Toyota Altezza he sold few year ago didnt have this thing i circled on the pic, everything else looked same...apart from the obvious the engine lol nor did it have auto head lights....

That looks good, i probably would of changed the number plate size to a custom size jap one if youre into that sort of thing

I paid £5 for this on on ebay and it has the Lexus logo but it's just rubbish, the plastic is weak and brittle.

Sadly Lexus only sell it with the transponder at £70+ VAT.

From lexus,, is that for the key cutted & programmed or just blank key ? as i was gonna say its good/fair price as back in 2001 i got a mazda key from mazda £80ish but that did incl cutted and programmed ready to use.....
