So someone reversed into me and hasnt left a note. They've left a slight crease/dint in the rear bumper about 10inches long - nothing hideous but you can see the straight line pushed in slightly where the number plate mount has made contact. There are also two screw hole indents from the plate itself.

Any ideas whether I could get this done 'cheaply' or should i put it through the insurance and be damned with having to claim?

It wont be a new engine if they're doing what they did with mine. Its a rebuilt/recon engine that gets installed. They just did the main block on mine. Injectors etc were all as before.

Not sure if this helps but the engine wont be 'new'.

Just had a reconditioned engine installed at 67k and my car was still a bit jittery - replaced the fuel filter and still no better. Garage suspected a problem with the injectors so before bending over tried Redex Diesel in my is220d. Ran superbly on a 250 mile round trip this weekend and returned 37.5 mpg at around 70 on the motorway (normally get low 30's). Early days but really happy in the short term.

56 is220d. Feels like the car's tyres are sticking on the road while driving during steering.

When turning the wheel slightly left and then turning back in there's a sticky feeling before the steering snaps back.

Any ideas?

I've a 56 reg IS 220d and have just updated the nav disc from 06/07 to the 10.1 disk.

To be honest I'm a bit underwhelmed - with a couple of recent roads built around 2/3 years ago which I regularly use still not showing. Neither is the industrial park where I work which we've been in for a couple of years at least.

There are no apparent improvements to functionality or usabilty and for 159 euros I kind of get the feeling I've slipped up here.

Am I missing something or are the updates a bit of a lottery?

I don't appear to have the ability to toggle to an interior alarm setting on my satelite switch. Is it safe therefore to assume that I dont have an interior motion sensor and should be able to leave the pooch in the car without the alarm going off?

My 2006 car arrives on Saturday and I'm getting the impression that I'll be able to pair up my Iphone 4 but not transfer my phonebook. Is this correct? Is it safe to assume that I can just type in my (150 odd) contacts and they'll all work?

Any help appreciated.
