We have an older - 2006 RX400H and this image has just appeared on the screen. I have no idea what it means and am hoping someone can tell me what it is for and how to correct it if something is wrong.

Hi all

I live in Dundee and bought an SC430 2003 in August last year.  There is an iPod lead in the glovebox but not sure how to get it to work with the sound system.  

I know it is a long shot but wondering if anybody may have any idea how to get it to work. 

Love the car.  My wife also has an RX300.

I am new here and I have very gratefully just had my first question answered by Nic I think. Very helpful. 
 

The passenger window on my 2003 SC430 goes down when lowering the roof but neither button works. Hoping someone might have a suggestion of what might be the problem and a possible solution.

Thanks for the question. I live in a busy street so I need to make sure that the mirrors fold in but the drivers one only folds a wee bit unless I gentle pull it as it is folding.

PS there is also a problem with the passenger side window. It goes down when the roof is going down but neither switch works. If you have any suggestion about that.  The car is great though. Love it.

I am new to this forum and I hope you can help please. I have a silver Sc430 2003.  It requires a new door mirror.  Does anybody know if a used one from the states fit?  I appreciate that mine is the driver door and theirs will be the passenger for them.  My brother lives in the states and can bring it over.

I have a MK3 ls400 with the inbuilt cd/tape/radio. It has the multichanger above the glovebox inside the car. I have 2 or 3 problems that I would appreciate any help with.

1) The display shows the cd number selected but will not display the song number or produce any sound for a CD. Instead it shows the error code "err 21". Does anybody know why this might be the case please?

2) The system works for both the tape player and the radio, although there is some interference with the radio like a supressor is faulty. (Can hear things like engie acclerating on radio etc.). It had another ariel fitted before I purchased it, could that be the problem or just a bad connection somewhere?

3) No sound at all from the front speakers. Could this be the amp or some dodgy wiring? The grey connector at the back of the audio unit in the front dash looks dodgy. All the wires in this connector have been cut and rejoined, like a new connector has been added. Could all these problems be caused by faulty connections or just a coincidence. Would it be possible to cut into the rear speakers and connect the front speakers, in effect removing the fade option if that makes sense. Would this be done at the amp under the drivers seat?

I don't know if any of these questions make sense but any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I am needing to find out how to remove the cd mutichanger above the blovebox in my ls400 1996. Any advice greatfully received.

Also can anybody point me in the direction of where to get a workshop service manual for this model please. Hi all

Hope you can help please. What would be the effect of putting 235x60x16 on a MK3 ls400 compared to the stock 225 size? Would they fit without rubbing? Would they affect the running, wear and tear on suspension etc. or MPG? Any advice greatle appreciated.

Hi I want to introduce myself as I have just purchased my first lexus ls400 1996. It is black with 197,000 miles and has recently had the following work done.

New rear handbrake shoes

New rear pads

New rear discs

N/S & O/S rear upper suspension arms replaced

New drop link on O/S rear anti roll bar.

Front O/S, upper suspension arm replaced.

New front pads purchased but not replaced yet

Cambelt and rollers replaced at 195638 miles, Receipt available for the parts.

At 195700 miles Service of Plugs, Oil Filter, Air Filter, Oil, genuine lexus parts used, again reciept available.

Date of Cambelt change was 23/02/2011, Service was carried out on 25/02/2011.

Also 4 new tyres in the last 6 months.

The body has some supermarket war wounds and stone chips.

I have always wanted a ls400 and have now found one at a price that suits the wallet. I pick it up on Saturday and then have a 300 mile drive home so will let you know how it goes. Would you suggest checking or replacing anything else?

A couple of questions. The front speakers do not appear to be working but the rear do. I am LED to believe that it requires the amp to be replaced. Does anyone have experience of this and will it be the amp or some dodgy connection that corroded?

Also, just wondered if anybody has tried these bulbs and what effect they have? Are they a bargain Xenon conversion or a waste of money?
