  1. Can anyone help me out please

    I have a 00 Lexus IS200 sport

As above the trc off light is continuously flashing on my dash

Is this a problem with the diff our i was told it could be an abs sensor

My NCT test is next month so I would like get it sorted

    All help appreciated

    Thanks

  2. Hey all

    I have a 2000 Lexus IS200 Sport

I have noticed that the traction control button is not working

Snow button switches on and off

It feels like diff has traction turned off constantly

I noticed while replacing dash clock bulb that the bulb for TRC was removed

I heard it is possible to wire from TRC switch down at ashtray can be wired in a way that traction is constantly off

So I am thinking this is why bulb was removed because it would be on the whole time

Is there anyway I can check this out

Or has anybody ever came across this

    All help appreciated

    Martin

  3. Hey all

I have noticed in my 2000 Is200 sport that if I come out of a corner there is a swayin feeling from the back

Wondering is this a problem with rear shocks

Has anyone ever come across this

    All help appreciated thanks

    Martin

  4. what do you mean??

change the fogs so they come on with your lights?

my fogs come on with my lights with my brakes and also can still be used as fog lights...

also you wont need to remove this conversion as its road legal...

so from the rear i have

    4 tail lights

    5 brake lights

    and 2 fogs....

also my high level and my two center brake lights(lights on boot lid ie the old fogs) flash for ten times then go solid

That's wat I want without the flashing if possible

  5. Hey all

Clutch starting to slip in my 2000 is200

Going get it out of the way straight away

    I have clutch ordered

Just wondering has anyone replaced before

Never replaced one on an Lexus IS

Should I give myself a day to do this job

Also do I need any specialist tools

All other help info or pointers would be great

    Cheers

    Martin

  6. Front will be handy enough.

    Rmove caliper and caliper housing

Disc should come off with a good pull or thread an m8 bolt into small hole (this will work like a set of pullers)

Remove disc and clean and replace with new

For pads just take cap off brake fluid reservoir and push piston back using a g clamp

For the rear would be similar.

Think rear has shoes so you will need release handbrake and maybe adjust a little to remove brake discs.

Again clean and blow inside when disc removed

Then fit new disc and adjust handbrake cable until u can turn disc freely

To replace pads it is either the same as front or pistons maybe be twist ones clockwise on both sides

Twist back until you can refit caliper.

Hope you understand this terminology ok

    Hope it also helps

Complete job should take bout 2hours
