I 'm happy with performance too... My passenger seat belt keeps getting caught in the door, I dont have front cup holders, so no probs there. That dreaded clunk you get from front nearside brakes. Cruise control, how does it work? I tried to operate it the other day, just couldn't get my head round it.

On a serious note, I think you guys should get this off the ground. I fell in love with the front bumper as soon a s I saw it. Lets's see how many guys would buy the front bumper?

I know it's a different car, but my mazda does the same... my mechanic says it's the valve seals

I've worked on cars for years,(not anymore) and watched numerous windscreens fitted, but I never heard of a windscreen dam. Can someone explain?

Afternoon guys
I am new so hello to all, and looks like there's a good community on here :)
I am due to get my cambelt changed, and phoned Toyota up for a cambelt kit. They don't do kits, but sell the tensioner, and belt seperate(on their own).
My question is, how many tensioners need changing whilst the mechanic is in that department?
Any help will be appreciated. Also, I didn't want to waste time purchasing kits from Autofactor only to get cheap parts, hence why I thought I'd go OEM.
Thanks in advance
Addz
There should be a tensioner and an idler in the kit. I have ordered the kit today, (Toyota original parts) Just couldn't get round the difference in price, as the engine codes are all the same.

Hey guys,I am about to buy timing belt kit, but why are the prices so different? I found genuine toyota part a lot cheaper than OE spec.

It does if you lock it with the switch on the door console.
Thanx

Hi guys, just need some input.. My mazda626 when inside, I lock the drivers door which in turn locks all the other doors. Does the IS200 the same feature?
-
How do you tell the difference between the heated screen and none heated? Also on the mirror, there appears to be something like a sensor, what is this for? (IS 200 SE, 2002) Input please....

just thought i'd give the results for the benefit of anyone else that may be having programming problems.
key now programmed and locking/unlocking of the doors from the remote.
however, unable to unlock boot from the key remote, is there a seperate programming method for the boot?
thanks
I'm having the same problems at the moment. Got the guy to cut the key and program the ECU for £220.00, runs like a dream. I now need to pay extra to have one with three buttons :tsktsk:

Would the one with the darker colour lens further down be legal?

Thanks guys, will have pics up once she's finished.

Well guys, I;ve got a clean license, never claimed anything. I worked in a garage and used their insurance, hence 7 yrs NCB when I left,. I'm puzzled too at the cost.. I've used the cost comparison sites now for a number of years. Just seems to be going up every year:-(
