  1. Hi there I did some research and took the advice from this thread and gave Phil price a call I have now had my rx400h 2006 converted to lpg all I can say is absolutely brilliant I left my car with him for a week this gives him time to do a proper job and check everything is fine he really knows what he's doing and his workmanship is spot on Phil runs a rally school and all his subarus are lpg converted

The car runs fantastic its 125 miles to his place. From me well worth it when I drove home after picking up the car I filled the lpg tank up

And I had only used £13 and I wasn't hanging about either it's the neatest work I've seen on a conversion yet well pleased and would highly recommend him

  2. i noticed that a light came on my dash a headlight adjustment symbol anyway it was the level sensor on the back suspension the adjustment rod cup and ball joints seize up and breaks

so after i fixed the rod with some aradite good enough it still was on i took the level sensor of and it had come apart inside these are very exspensive from lexus

so i fixed it you can see the images and a short video ill give out the link

  3. i have found out how to sort problem with fuel gauge going down with petrol what you need to do is find the petrol sender wire under rear near side seat

i will attach a photo then you need to attach a wire from the sender wire to a switch of your choice one side with the wire from your sender attached and the other side down to earth on car with a 200 ohm resistor to other side of switch turn on ignition then push to make your switch you will see petrol fuel gauge go up to about half a tank at this point turn your switch off tank will then settle at your true fuel level reading works fine for me with no probs on my 2003 rx 300 navigator se lpg hope this helps

ps the colour of the sender wire on my rx was white with a silver band be careful because there are 2 the same colour the one you want is the thinner one

please post back and let me know how you go on

  4. Hi, the same thing happens with my 04 rx300. I am a car electrician/diagnostics specialist and i checked my system with emissions equipment and scope. The car starts up and runs on petrol for the first 5 or 10 mins depending on temperature so petrol is always used to begin with. I did however discover that the air filter had not been changed and was causing an air restriction affecting both lpg and petrol, perhaps you should check yours and have the injectors tested when running on gas to see if they are switched off like they should be. Apart from that i have to say i'm not over impressed with the system.

    Regards Phil James. www.carelectrician.co.uk

did you try cutting the sender signal wire white wire ns loom along sills changes to violet behind glovebox to clocks open and close wire should reset the fuel computer

as it will see the tank as empty

  5. my rx300 is 2003 model it has got a brc system fitted with flashlube no rinning probs atall i filled up tank with 53 litres thats all it would take

and got just over 200 miles some of these were towing my 26 ft caravan the only other thing that i need to solve is the fact that the petrol gauge goes down even though im on gas

this is normal im told but it leaves you worried that you may run out of petrol i believe you can get whats called an emulator fitted to stop this i would like peoples thoughts on this

have a look its a question anybody getting lpg conversion should be asking

  6. Hi im haveing problems with my reverseing camera the screen changes from sat nav to the reverse screen with the green lines on BUT the screen is all fuzzy (like when you remove the aerial from the tv),so there must be power at the gearbox end, just woundered if anyone else has had this fault as a new camera is £650+vat which i regreat paying if anyone could shed some light on this it would be greatfull cheers kev

you dont have to pay all that i have seen cameras on eBay very cheap im sure you could use one of these but im almost sure they are ntsc format so this is the type you need

it could even be a broken wire in the grommet that goes in between the rear door worth a try hope this helps
