Conversion From Air To Standard Shock Absorbers (Ls 400 Celsior) in Brakes & Suspension Posted February 7, 2012 Hi there, I own a 1999 LS 400 Celsior (jap import) and like many on this forum, the air suspension shock absorbers are starting to leak. The replacement cost (part + labour) for air shock absorbers is 960gbp per shock. I've read you can actually replace them with standard (spring) absorbers at a much lower cost. Has anyone done this? Does the car ride fine afterwards? How much did this cost? Does anyone know of a good garage in london for repairs on our beloved celsior japanese imports. Thanks a lot, Gasp
