Guys,
Im due a change of discs and pads on the front of my 03' IS but I am finding there is a difference in cost for both pads and discs between the saloon and sportcross.
Surely there couldn't be any difference between the disc and pad used for the front of both cars ?
I am finding the sportcross pads and discs are cheaper but I'm thinking this must be as they are less common than the GXE saloon ??
Any help or info is greatly appreciated !
Cheers

thanks guys !
so PCD must always be 114.3x5 , does it have to be .3 or would 114x5 be ok ? also what is the correct offsets to work between, I know most cars this can vary between xET - xET, but what is an ideal offset to use for the IS ?
Sorry for the noob questions too

hi folks,
Will a set of 17x8" ET35 100 X 5 fit an IS200 or does the offest have always have to be 114.3x5 regardless of what diameter the wheel in question is ?
Seen a nice set of 17'' wheels in the above offset which Id like for the IS/
I always be completely vexed, if I'm honest, with wheel offsets, I can't wrap my head around it so any help here is greatly appreciated !
Thanks

Hi mate thanks for the reply.
Tbh ive been in holland since friday and this carry on only started the day before I left. I went to see a guy tonight but he isnt sure if his diagnostic reader is set up for lexus but im to call back tomorrow. There were no lights on the dash however on the way up this evening the emu light has came on for the first time so I should know for def tomorrow what it is.
Its lookin likely the coil packs are at fault. I also spoke with the guy who I bought the car off, he mentioned the plugs where denso an cost £70 +VAT so they must be the iridium ones.
If it is coil pack is there anywhere I can get decent OE spec set of 6 online for fair enough money ?
Cheers

Hi guys,
I have just bought an 03' is200 just over a month ago. The car has ran flawlessly up until a few days ago when i noticed they car had become jerky when being driven, almost like it wasn't getting fuel. The car did however have around half a tank.
Over the next few days I have noticed the car revs funny on idle and splutters, almost like its missing a cylinder or again not getting enough fuel. When driven the car jerks at low rpm however this continues in all gears, not just the low ones.
I have read a few things on the forum threads here however im not entirely sure what is the main cause. I don't want to be wasting money on parts I don't need. Ive read this issue could be anything from plugs/coil packs to gearbox/clutch . I don't think it could be a problem with the clutch as I was told by the previous owner a new one had been fitted and the car serviced before sale.
The car also came from a family friend so although no paper work supports this I am in no doubt the work has taken place.
I did read that the IS should have been serviced with iridium plugs and I am still waiting to hear back on whether this has been done.
The car has covered around 100643 miles if this helps ?
It annoys me as this car has ran silky smooth up to this point and I feel its getting worse, any help or input on this matter is greatly appreciated !
Thanks
Glen
