Hello all. Im wanting to do a coolant flush in the near future. Does anyone know which is best to use and if so what colour?
Is their only one drain hole in the radiator? Only managed to find one but not sure if their is another one.
Any replies or tips and advice would be most helpful
Thanks

hi and welcome to the club. i also have a 1996 lexus gs300 sport its an awesome car.you will get a lot of help off here when you need it.this is a very helpfull forum when the car goes wrong.ive had mine for 3 years and im loving it.
Cheers buddy. I must admit that your is stunning. Love the gun metal grey color. Saw the exhaust on it too I bet it sounds devine. Had no issues so far been an honest car and long may it continue. Hope we could do a car meet as I don't often see too many lexis around.

Hello and welcome to the LOC.
I was the same regarding Lexus, always admired and wanted one finally took the plunge and never looked back.
At one point I had my LS400 and a GS300 and it made a difficult decision when one had to go but the LS won the day.
There are some really good pieces of servicing and maintainance information on the GS forum which makes good reading if you have the time.
Thanks for the advice. I've had a look at the guides and the'y're very useful. I managed to service it a few weeks ago which was pretty straight forward. Its weird i've gone from sports cars to conservative luxury cars and im only 25. Just so much car for your money and don't have to crawl out of it like i did in my mr2 :). I'd love an ls400 in the future they're is so many on eBay for cheap wonga. Can't complain with my gs everything works and the dude we bought it off was really honest with the history to back it up.Happy days can see me getting a ls400 and keeping it forever.

Hello all. Had my Lexus gs300 sport for a few months. Only just found this club so just wanted to say hi. Always admired the Lexus just never been able to afford one. Glad I have bought one though, its criminal how much you pick one up for. Finally went back to a jap car and wish i'd done it years ago....been lusting after an ls400 for years and who knows could have two on the drive very soon.
Anywho look forward to hearing from you guys and meeting lexus owners.
Cheers Marc

The Meguiars clay bar kit is top quality and like the guys have said if you drop it through it away. I used it on my 300zx and it got rid of all the tiny particles that were embedded in the paintwork. Its a laborious job but well worth the effort for the final result.
you could use G3 cutting compound but its a really messy job and you risk burning the paint but as long as you keep the mop wet it should be OK.
