I used to worry the same about my Supra - it was explained to me that these cars have such large exhausts that the condensation created inside them can take upto 300 miles to dry out completely when just pottering around.
The suggest test was to run the car fairly hard for 40 miles or so up the motorway, stop (not on the motorway), wait 5 mins start car again, and shouldn't see any steam...
Worked for me (thankfully) :D

After moving wheels around cars, and now picking up a set of 8.5 x 18's - i'm no longer sure of the correct tyre sizes.
Can someone enlightened me to correct fronts & rears - i assume there's a difference.

One of mine has gone behind the speedo - has anyone any experience or tips on taking the dash apart to change it.
Oops almost forgot - its a GS300 Sport MK1
Thanks

It was at motorway cruising i noticed it - so sounds like nothing to worry about...
Id never noticed on the Supra, except when idling so thought there might have been a problem...
Noticing the comment on a few MPG less - what do people get out of their 300's ??

Hi All
Been lurking a couple of weeks since JAE, thought it was time I introduced myself and cars.
I've been a '96 MKI GS300 Sport owner since last November, and love it !!
Wasn't the best example, bought it privately for what seemed a pretty good price. Got a man i know to give it a lick of paint due to being keyed (helped the buying price !!).
This is how she looks - I dont know what the colour is called, i call it metallic cherry -
As you can see currently running 17" Kahns - these are a cost saving exercise due to expensive 18's and the way i drive !!
The 18's are now here :-
Hope everyone approves of their use :D
The Supra doesn't do too many miles so I can handle expensive tyres on that !!
Hope to be a regular poster here - i'm admin on the MKIVSupra.net BBS
I also do ASP programming and web design, writing the MKIV Members area

Doesn anyone else with a MKI GS300 notice a performance hit when using the aircon ??
I've had it on and off for the last couple of weeks.
Even at speed around 70mph, if i turn it on and off i'm sure i can feel it...
Could this be a problem ??

I think a chassis and engine number check with Lexus would confirm this. Or is there a resource here to check that sort of thing?
Did an HPI check on the one I'm interested in and it comes back as a GS300 S
So the fact it has all the sport goodies, the right price and mileage I think means that providing the AA check comes back O.K. I'll be a Lexus owner in a couple of days.

Pete
Hi Pete
In the front of my service book - the original garage has filled in all the details and they state GS300 Sport.
