Do ALL the Sony units switch on and off with ignition ??...I have got hold of the housing and a sony nav-u 83 and now need to put it all together !!!

I am trying to do the same thing...does the circuit board at the back need to be used...or can I simply connect the red , black and white wires and expect everything to work ??

Hi all....thinking of the Grom option to rectify my deaded top load OEM cd changer...but worried about wiring instructions as the socket i think the grom goes into (remote cd player??) has 2 wires into it already which seem to control the volume ?????. Am i being a bit dense or is this how it should be.....any help would be greatly appreciated !!!!
