  1. The Lexus ES is the Best Buy Large Luxury Car rated in “Which Magazine” as we all know it’s a fantastic car and I’m sure we’d all recommend it to friends and  family. Apart from of course the theft issue, which isn’t mention the article. The price, gadgets and the reliability was what sold it for me and this is what Which rate it for.

    Congratulations Kevin!

There’ll be quite a few ES enthusiasts here eager to know what you think of it.  Sounds like the story of your ordering was something of a saga.  Hopefully, your collection went smoothly and you’re now enjoying your new Lexus.

Photographs are always well received.  😊

    Len,

Made a round trip from London to Glasgow to visit family about 3 weeks ago, and normally my wife hates the journey and i have to force here her to travel up there. Too my surprise she said this time "That journey wasn't to bad".

That alone speaks volumes about the ride and comfort of the cabin. And my previous vehicle was an Audi A6. So for Comfort,Ride and a nice steady drive the Lexus all the way. But if you want feedback and response from your driving experience, then go for one of the German brands.

  3. Found the setting for Bass, Mid Treble and fader only last week. After 7 months of ownership. Play your music( or Radio) through the lexus system and not CarPlay. You'll see 3 ...  towards top right hand side of screen. Then you will get to the setting screen.

This is on MY23 model, don't know if others differ.

  4. Was getting around 51mpg for this trip in colder times and then around 54mpg. But today got an impressive 62mpg. Used to run an Audi A6 2.0 Tdi before. The Lexus ES300h is definitely  Economical and more comfortable vehicle than the Audi A6.

Like all the reviews say you don't buy the Lexus ES300h if you want a drivers car, it's more about the comfort and a leisurely drive.

  5. I am afraid this is Lexus at the moment. My car had arrived at Derby and the dealership were telling there was a glitch with the App. Telling me my vehicle was still in transit on a ship. Sent an email to Lexus UK and copied in my dealership and to my surprise the car was ready for collection within a week.

The dealership is not telling the truth. Do you feel a company like Lexus would not sort out a glitch in their App, and left it unfixed for this long. And i'm going back to Oct 2022.

I've recently bought an RX 450h F Sport with a reg date 5 May 2017 having believed it was ULEZ compliant. However, having driven into London a week ago I've now received a penalty fine for the car not being compliant.

I've searched 2 other similar vehicles on 66 & 67 plates and both are ULEZ compliant. I'm at a lost as to why my car, same spec, is deemed to be non compliant, can anyone throw any light on this situ or had a similar issue

    Thanks

It's you Private plate. Had the same issue with my ES300h registered 12/2022. Took Tfl at least 6 weeks to get update that my Plate was no longer on a non-complainant vehicle. Even though the Enforcement letter stated my current car. Just send a copy of your V5 and the matter should be cleared within 28 days.

I realise this won't make the OP feel any better, but it's more ammunition to use in his arguments. I finally collected my Premium Edition today - ordered in February. I got the £2K deposit contribution, and a rate of 4.99%. This is purely a guess, but I wonder whether the OP's dealer failed to submit a credit application to Lexus Finance at the same time as they placed the order. I know my dealer did do that; in one of our conversations shortly after I'd placed the order, he told me that my credit application had been accepted. As I say, it's only a guess, but I can't think of any other reason why Lexus Finance would apply those terms to some orders and not others.

Pick mine up sometime this week, dealer hasn't mentioned any changes to the original agreement, as of yet. Fingers crossed.

Been having a right ding dong with my salesperson to be told today that my vehicle is still at sea. Even after a confirmation from Lexus that my vehicle arrived at Portbury 3 weeks ago.

    ordered late Feb...ETA OCT

Seems optimistic , I've ordered 14 Jan and I've been told October also. Order still at " ORDER IN PROGRESS" stage.  Like mentioned before that will only be achieved if the "BUILD" starts in next 4 weeks, allowing for shipping time etc..

This is the reply back from my Lexus dealer:

I can confirm there is a MY23 model year ES coming out. I have checked this afternoon and due to the lack of semi-conductor chips your vehicle is now showing as what we call a non-covered order. This means there is not yet a build slot for the vehicle but because of this it will more than likely mean you will get the latest MY23 vehicle with the additional updates. I can assure you that this is affecting several of our customers, not just yourself, and I appreciate it is a frustrating situation. However, this is also a very fluid situation so it could come earlier than we are expecting but I will keep you up to date of course.

Regarding this, naturally there is a price change and increase. However, Lexus will price protect against any inflationary price increases since you placed your order therefore meaning you will be paying the price we quoted you and agreed when you ordered the vehicle.

What Dealer did you order from, my orders with Jemca Sidcup.

  11. Ordered 14/01 was initially told June, just received call from dealership and now told not to expect my ES October at the earliest. Said there seems to be an issue with ES orders.

Over 24 hours for a response over the week-end doesn't seem too unreasonable. Maybe your salesman isn't working this particular week-end - or maybe they want to contact Lexus UK for information; I imagine they only work Monday to Friday.

I'm not happy about the delays, but I think maybe you should be a bit more tolerant about the time taken to respond over a week-end.

I waited a week and had to contact the Salesman again after getting no response. Does seems service normally associated with Lexus Dealerships has dropped. All the salesman kept saying, "Sorry we are Short of Staff, and he was the only one in".

  13. Have chased up dealership regarding my order and delivery date, after waiting 10 days for a response to a call. All of a suddenly my order is now showing on "My Lexus" and the delivery time moved to September.

Initial order was placed  on 14th Jan 2022. Does it seem like my order may have been forgotten about?

  14. ordered 14/01/2022, rang dealership yesterday as had not heard anything since playing the order. Was very vague with is answer, saying it should be July. Initially it was June. Did also say delivery times a yo-yoing at the moment.
