  1. Right I've been told a couple of different things,

With the lowering springs are they 40mm drop on a standard IS or is it 40mm from the sport with the 15mm?

Also what's the max I can go on standard springs? 40mm?

    Any pics of 40mm drop?

Just using springs until I can't get coil overs :)

  2. i have a is200 sport 2000 plate

i bought some new bulbs, the ones with the blue tint so the light looks white,

how do i remove the old bulbs?

its a bit different to my 1988 mini :L

you press tab in and pull on bulb plug, and the bulbs come out by twisting, no springs ect to mess with although passenger side is fiddly.

Found the passenger side easier :L

  3. i was on here awhile ago asking some advice on what to buy,

got fed up of my mini,

looked on eBay saw a IS200 sport,

bought it the following day :L

    one thing i dont get...

i tried to fill up and the thing kept clicking off, finaly got it in and it clicked off at £35 went in the car and it was only at half way :/

    what is that?

  4. Only leaks when it rains hHaha

When else would it leak? :L

Well the best advise I got from years or owning a mini which are known for leaking was too get someone to spray water on the car while you sit inside and try and see where it's leaking from,

If the headlining is wet I expect it is the sunroof leaking

  5. yeah im not bothered on interior condition really as i want something i can just chuck things in and not worrying about damaging anything,

also bearings and brake pads are easy to replace, a strong engine and a nice exterior is what i want :)

and i really dont like the rear lexus lights, where can i get some red ones? or can i just tint them?

like this but not that expensive :L

  6. i think all versions had sat navs as it might have been an option when buying from new but later models from 04, 05 had sat navs as standard full leather etc.. best is to go for the highest you can offored as they range between £1000 to £6000 on Autotrader. this IS model did not have any recall work in its time from 99 to 05 so all models are bullet proof but that does not mean they dont need maintenance as some people take the word 'bullet proof' as meaning it doesnt need an oil change. !! people complain about alloy corrosion but £200 at pristine alloys will make all four sets look new! so will boil down to your budget really!!

owning a mini for 3 years, i know what a car needs and how much you do have to look after them to keep them on the road, so most of the work if any i will be doing myself on the car :)
