I've recently installed GROM-USB2 and i have a few queries on it:
1. I've taken the head unit out, connected the grom unit and put it all back. Can someone confirm the correct installation of the Toy 1 cable? On one end there's 2 connectors, i plugged one into the empty port next to the original lexus cd cable and left the unused one hanging down. Got a feeling this is incorrect, can someone confirm?
2. The unit does work, i can play ringtones, voice recordings etc through the car stereo. But i mainly bought it to use Spotify through it - this does not work. Anyone got experience with this? Would it be easier just to buy the Bluetooth module?
3. My radio just switches itself off halfway through a journey. I switch it back on but i cant change to a cd & i cant change the volume. Restarting the car sorts this out though. Could this be due to the possible incorrect connections in point 1?
Thanks

Thanks for all the suggestions!
The 2 din would be the best solution if money was no option but the grom looks a lot easier and cheaper for probably the same sound quality. Used a cassette adaptor before, wasn't that impressed to be honest.

Hi
Just taken delivery of my 05 IS200, absolute quality.
The only thing i really want to upgrade is the stereo but i literally dont know where to start. Got no experience with the wiring so i'd rather a pro did it for me. I've had a quick look online but i cant find what systems are compatible with my car, checked Halfords website but in the compatibility tool lexus isnt an option for some reason.
All i need is a unit with a usb connection, only need it for playing music. Wont be making calls or using is it as a sat nav. Not really fussed on improving the sound as the speakers seem tidy enough anyway.
Any idea on where i should start?
Ct200H Parking Brake

I've recently upgraded my is200 to a shiny new ct200h Advance.
The ct200 is great but a very very different drive to the is200. Obviously the change from manual to auto is taking a bit of getting used to but it feels like you're driving a much bigger car than you actually are.
My main query at the moment is the parking brakes - there's an electronic Park button and a manual handbrake. Which one should i be using when idle in traffic? What does the Park button actually do?
