Well im back,after a break from lexus,last one a 95 mk3 ls400,prior to that gs300 and is200 sportcross.

I am very much leaning towards a series 3 RX450H which are now within my reach.mileage does not bother me,LS Had 220,000 when i sold it 3 years ago and its still being used regularlly 🙂

Only real worry is the Battery status of these hybrids ? any one had too buy new ones ? issues with the hybrid system ? any other issuies with this model ?

My mk3 was collected by its new owner this morning,it will be attending japfest tomorrow at silverstone.

Will be very missed and im sure another will acquired at a later date,just could not justify having it sat around doing nothing until the odd outing at the weekends.

Im still in keeping with the Japanese theme,Honda Accord 2.4 exec Tourer ,all the toys,loads of room,just gotta put up with road noise i did not know existed

No lexus/scorpian alarm fitted anymore,all ripped out and replaced with a Hawk system,although i have lost boot release from inside the car

Thanks Ian,i have checked under the rear seat lower cushion,no problems found.

Would anyone have a stereo wiring diagram for the 95 with pioneer head unit ?

On My mk3

Radio 1,2 and dome fuses changed,all others in both locations checked.

Amp and head units changed for known good units.

No lexus phone fitted,checked cradle plugs under centre console

Phone ecu/speaker relay plugs connected in the boot (tried un plugged as well) but was all fine plugged together since ive owned the car.

I have run out of ideas now,and its very frustrating as when working it sounds great.

Hope someone can shed some light on the subject.

Bugger spoke too soon,sound has disappeared again !!!!! replaced both radio 1 and radio 2 fuses too no avail,so tomorrow will be another look,maybe phone module,although i have never seen any unit in the boot floor  

Does the 430 not have a drain pipe from the sunroof down the rear pillars like a mk3 then Phil ?

Brake pad warning light put out due to me being too tight to buy a new pad wear sensor cable

Fluid light put out as one stop light happened too blow at the same time as changing the discs/pads

And hooked up with a chap who is breaking a mk3 for its running gear for a mitsi L200 conversion,had his amp for mine,we now have sounds again

And she still surprises me on the trip there and back,embarrassed one or 2 much more modern boxes,cant recall the models they all look the same

Oh well spoke too soon,it wont give me any sound now,pulled both fuses again both good,disconnected Battery for half an hour,still no sounds,its got a pioneer head unit so amp must be the same ? and where might i find it ? 

Ok found the amp under the drivers seat,i was googling it and keep saying under passenger seat DOH all results were US

Im with them too,via Chaucer (Classic) just a knats over 200 in devon full no claims,due for renewal in april so will see if i can better it

Speedo was doing similar last year,been fine all over the winter and still is 

So i take my wife to work Saturday morning and on route home i always have the car hand washed at a local place which happens to be next to toolstation,so i sat in the car while they washed and dried it,smashing paid up and drove seconds to toolstation,popped in there for some bits,loaded up and drove off,what no radio !! all display good,try cd,no sound either ! so checked radio 1 and 2 fuses both good,thought bugger its the amp :-( so next day popped out for summut else and just thought i will try once again and low and behold we have sounds back ????? very bizzare

Indeed i did the same with my LS400,a few years ago from eBay,crap little pics but guy sounded genuine,anyway got on the train to barnstable,called him 5 mins before arrival at the station,i got of and waited outside,i was very pleasantly surprised when she came around the corner in all her splendor,i still believe the mk3 has the most Road presence of all the 400s 

Gents,yes easy to install if your that way inclined,air saw/pencil die grinder/step drill/power tools/insulated terminals/soldering iron/etc etc

I ran the wiring along the top trims above the o/s doors,followed the sunroof drain into the boot,spliced into red/black (reverse light) and black (earth) all the boot trims had to come out as well. i put a couple of 50 w LED reverse bulbs in while i was there too

Taped into reverse light wiring,screen and camera,so only powers up when they do

This afternoons mission,cheap Chinese camera and screen from Wish £15 plus £5 postage,good bit of kit for the money,i dont think i have ever used the makeup mirror and light so away it went 

Right on my door step if anyone requires me to have a shuffty
