So you suggest a replacement door switch panel? Because the drivers windows works with the switch but none of the other switches seem to work...?

The memory setting doesn't seem to do anything. .no beep nothing, any more ideas anyone please?

Hi all. I recently got another LS400 and after getting her home it feels lovely but realised the central locking only seems to work from the passenger side...the drivers side only unlocks that door. Also I'm guessing its linked but the window buttons for the other windows from the drivers door dont work but for just the drivers window it does...also the memory seat controls dont seem to function? All electrics work on all other doors.

just the drivers side seem to have the issue.

it had a new alternator in November and hasnt been driven since January until I bought it. The Battery has been disconnected since January.

Please help so I know where to start lads.

Just sourced some front seats to replace the torn drivers seat. Please can you tell me if the front seat of a Mark 2 will fit as a direct replacement to the mark 1 seat?

Got my Ls400 last week and im actually loving it despite thinking i may not because of the difference it is to all of my other cars...

A few questions please---

1- I cant seem to set the cruise control? i press the button and the cruise control on the dash comes on but doesn't do anything and cant seem to set it.

2- I need to replace the gear shifter...how do i do this?

3- The display for time/temp etc above A/C controls doesn't appear to be working....could this be a fix or would i need to replace it?

4- I have a telephone and controls on the steering wheel for it...is there a module or something i can purchase to make this work again? I have a big old aerial thing on the boot on my car...looks funny, i was told this was a phone receiver?

Probably more questions needed answering soon as im doing a full restoration on it. Paint work and electrics seem to work so all good so far. Also full service history so pretty good going.

Hi all, i have managed to buy some lovely wheels at a bargain price for my LS400, however the stud fitment for the LS400 is 5x114.3 and the wheels i have bought are 5x112 how can i fit them on? or is it even possible, i really dont want to have to sell the wheels on again :(

Hi, i understand that this is not to many of your tastes but i am buying my Ls400 for this primary reason to make cheesy but subtle changes/mods to make it a VIP classic.

I am currently on the hunt for various items, anyone know of a few places/sites that i can get styling things from?

Anyone have a tray/table installed on the dash? i have found one here--

I didnt collect on sunday as planned due to the guy putting it through MOT and it failing on front ball joints as there were some play in them. He has sourced these now and having them changed this week so should be collecting in a weeks time or so.....I cant wait!!! :)

Does anyone know if the chrome grill from a 1998 LS400 fit on a 1992 LS400? because i believe that the later model has a fully chrome front grill and the older model has a part chrome part black grill.

The guy said its fully served and recently resprayed with new pads fitted etc BUT hasnt had the cambelt changed so that will be my first job, doubt i will be able to do it myself...so whats my best tact? How much you think i may be looking at spending on the labor for this?

I have been looking for a LS400 for a long while now, i want one to play with, give it some VIP styling. Ideally wanted one with a built in Sat nav etc but the one im getting (hopefully) tomorrow has everything else i want other than this, Black with gold badges and cream interior at a good price :) happy happy me!

First of all i just wondered if you guys could please give me any type of buyers guide as in things for me to check tomorrow and be cautious of. It only has 85k miles on it which is pretty dam good! Its a 95 so im guessing this is 2nd gen LS400?

I will no doubt be posting here alot in the coming future.
