Well I've never calculated it but I bought the car for her indoors to replace the BMW 316iSE which got trashed by a hail storm (peach size hail). Fuel consumption seems pretty similar to the bmer. No complaints.
In fact I love it so much I'm contemplating getting rid of my 3.7V6 Jeep for an IS in Abu Dhabi (workplace).

Yup confirmed yesterday have to change em lol. Hey ho. I got two months to re-present for free which should give me enough time.
So far it's a great car. I got Kumho KU39 boots on which seem to be good. Quiet n sticky.
Only issue was a dead Battery the other day after a day at the water park with my four yr old. No idea why it went flat and no problem since. I'll carry jump leads from now on.

Nah they won't accept beam bender masking. If they fail then I'll replace the lights - but seriously when I did the lights on my Jeep and also BMW they both had a very definite and pronounced kick up to the offside. So I had to replace them no question.
The Lexus however really is just flat. I'll try and get a picture tonight and post it up.....
Still waiting for the eu certificate....

Cheers for that - I won't hold my breath but I think so long as it passes the beam check on the Control Technique then should be ok.
I'll let you guys know in a week or two. I need the conformity cert before I can book the CT test.

Hi guys n gals
Any of you ever exported a uk IS to Europe?
I'm registering my newly acquired 200 in France - I've set a board in front of the lights and the beam seems to be completely flat. Did Lexus supply uk models with flat beam units?
I'm gonna chance my arm and go ahead and get the French MOT done soon as the cert of conformity arrives - maybe they won't make me change the lights lol.

Hi guys n gals.
Thought I'd introduce myself as a newbie. Bought a nice IS200 last week - '01 plate, 70k on the clock, dealer history (Chester).
Bought to replace a 316ise which was trashed by a hail storm couple of weeks ago.
Lovin it so far and fixed the clunky turning (under braking) thanks to a search on here. Pads lubed up all sweet now :)
Cheers all

Knocking When Braking

Sounds exactly like I had. If only under braking take your pads off and clean off old copper slip. Re lube everything. No more noises.
