I had the same symptoms on my 52 sportx would misfire after starting when hot but fine from cold it was a bad injector. Injector cleaner made no difference at all. I managed to find a company on eBay I think it was that sold refurbed/tested injectors for a good price and that sorted it.

does it misfire at all ? had a similar problem but with a misfire and turned out to be a dodgy injector.

Sorry to hijack the post slightly but has anyone on here used a metra toyo-01 adapter to keep the factory amp setup with a aftermarket headunit ?

As above check the caliper sliders in the carrier if its not that then look at discs, its very uncommon to warp a disc, however deposits can build up on the disc from the pad especially in automatics if you sit after pulling up to a stop with your foot on the brake. ask youre garage if they have a DTI that they can measure the runout of the discs with.

Did he adjust the handbrake wihle he had the rear wheels off? He may have over adjusted one side. Also apologies if you have already checked but do check your tyres first, pressure condition etc its the first and easiest thing to check.

thanks for the welcome guys am very happy so far. Have had to fit a new(second hand) injector to solve a misfire but other than that very happy got a big service and cambelt planned for the next month or so.

Hi guys. I recently got my first ever lexus which is a 52plate 200 sportscross in (i believe) 1c6 granit sky.

Can anyone tell me what paint lexus used in the engine bay as it needs a bit of touching up in places.

Is it just unlacquered paint or did they use a diff paint ? Thanks for any help.

Bigred as linked above or they also trade on eBay, ive known people use their kits for years with success. As for the job itseld can i suggest the first thing you try befoire removing the caliper is checking the bleed nipple is free. You dont want to go through all the effort or stripping and overhauling and then find the nipple sheares off (a friend just tdid this with his porsch). Its not the end of the world if it does but would be much easier to clean any swarf out if you drill the nipple out with the piston removed etc.

Hi everybody just thought id introduce myself. Im james from southampton and ive just bought my first ever lexus which is a 52 plate is200 sportcross and am very happy so far ive come from a bmw e36 328 so powers a little bit down but comfort and equipment are far superior in the lexus.
