  1. I've just seen a GS300 comercial on youtube: Link

In it, the front side lights are bright blue/white where as on my car they are a dull yellow? Is it just a question of changing the bulbs to a brighter light? I quite like the contrast on my car but the lights on the advert car look cool too!

Has anyone change their bulbs for brighter ones?

I think they maybe upgraded LED ones for the advert

If they are 501 Fitment .... I have some PIAA White LED Tera bulbs .....

  2. am free Tuesday (at the moment), I have HID's too, so should be able to hook up and swap

bits over to see where there is a problem ?

These are my ones i have just sold...... so if you could help him out that would be great, they were tried and tested before i sent them off, but cant understand why BOTH dont work, any help would be appreciated

    Si

  4. For your convenience:

Amplifier Bypass Lead Adapter - required as you will have an active Amplifier

    http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Lexus-IS200-SE-Sport...1QQcmdZViewItem

Stereo Facia Adapter, they are not 'Lexus' quality but with some work .... they do the trick

    http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Lexus-IS200-Car-Ster...1QQcmdZViewItem

Plus if you have Sat Nav too, you will need an Adapter for that too, as it is all connected, but i don't have a link for that one

  5. Has anyone tried these Aerotwin or Valeo flat type wiper blades on the 90 MK1 LS400?

Just curious if they fit as the drivers side has a strange type attachment.

The lengths should be 22" and 16".

I dont want to try ordering any yet from a supplier in the UK until i find out the answer.

Im in Australia and these arent available aftermarket here yet.

Also, who might be the bet people to order from that ship overseas?

Any advice appreciated, and thanks in advance.

I got some of these type, they fitted great but needed a little adaption, i was a case of time and patience for me, to work out the best way to fit them, as the ones i got were universal, and LEXUS lS400 wiper fittings are NOT UNIVERSAL

I can help you if you get stuck and tell you how i managed to do it.

  6. I have a 1993 LS400

It doesnt have a car phone, but does look like it did have at some point in its life, in the front centre armrest, as there are screw holes and a connector block for the wires.

Also in the roof lining in the rear are 2, yes 2 aerial connectors.

1, does anyone know where i can get a phone to put back into it?

2, does anyone know where the connector block runs to, in the car, i,e part to stereo part to rear aeriel?

    3. does anyone know why there are 2 aeriel connectors under the roof lining?

Any help would be appreciated before i go and pull the car apart trying to find out.

    Many thanks

  7. Ok.................

    Finally did it

    1. Opened the bonnet,

    2. unscrewed the two small screws holding the additional small arm on, to release this arm.

    3. Undid the bolt holding the main wiper arm on.

    4. Took the whole wiper off the car

    5. lifted locking clip, by using a screwdriver to get lift it.

    6. after a while and many attempts of pulling and pushing, i released the wiper in the normal way.

    7. changed the wiper

    8. screwed the 2 small screws in on the additional arm, so this lined up the main arm.

    9. bolted the main arm back in place.

    10. Closed bonnet

    Job done

    I hope this helps others.

I know its a long way round to do it, but it was the only and best way i could find.

  8. hi ian, what wheels are they? look a bit like polished IS wheels :)

to be honest i'm not that sure on the make,my eyes arnt what they used to be,have to check out the rims for some name or other, but their chromed spikes not polished !!

whoops sorry :tomato: my eyes arnt what they used to be

they look great and just right on a big car, good choice :)

Thought I'd help Ian out here.......... they are 17" Lexus GS300 Vertex alloys, the limited edition Chrome Style.

Yes they are similar to the Lexus IS200 17" wheels but there is a small difference between the two. The IS wheels have a "groove" running the whole length of the Spoke, whereas the GS Wheels have only a "groove" near the rim of the Wheel. The "groove" in the wheel and the alloy itself on the GS300 wheel is alot smoother (more Rounded) also.

  9. I got an adpter from the US for it it was cheaper than buying one in this country and that included the shipping, it fitted like a glove and doesnt look out of place.

I can pass on details if anyone wants them.

As for the wiring kit, you can use the standard toyota one but it does not allow the ampilfier to work, the stereo will work fine with the speakers, but the Amp and Sub on the rear shelf will not work until you sort out some other wiring for it :)
