Ganzoom you are absolutely spot on. I've just got lazy and nervous of scammers as I've got older. I know premium dealers have high overheads but I really thought the PC price was taking the p*ss

If it's £20k of your own money rather than a company car you need to consider depreciation. I bought my first Lexus (RX400h) used approved for £14k. - 18 months later and about 7500 extra miles I've just Been offered £4800 against a £19k is300h : ( Even brand new Peugot's don't depreciate at that rate. I can vouch for the excellent service but have had a few niggles - water leak into boot never resolved, Quote of over £400 to fix auto hid adjuster that I fixed myself for £14. As I tend to get bored and change cars fairly frequently I can't risk buying another Lexus - the depreciation way exceeds any reliability costs I have ever encountered.

Lexus Birmingham also confirmed no Gold membership discount on service plans 🙁

Hi thx for the reply. Birmingham gave discount last year after initially refusing ( once I told them that I would post on this forum not to expect discount suggested on this website), but that was on standard minor service - I was wondering whether anyone had got gold membership discount on top of reduced price of service package.

Do you get gold membership discount on already discounted service plans?

Hi does anyone have experience of getting 15% discount on service 'packages' particularly at the Birmingham branch

Just a quick update - never did receive a refund. :megaangry:

If they are the same as mine they are loaded behind the headrest 'screen'. Can't remember whether you push the bottom edge or if there is a button but it pops out at the bottom and then you pivot it upwards and load the disc behind the screen. ( only used it once to make sure it worked - and it's a bit of a faff to get the sound to the wireless headphones)

Hi everyone - thanks for all the advice. I contacted Faye at B ham today and everything has been sorted. They are sending me a cheque for the 15% discount I should have received. She said that it was down to a new member of staff and that she would ensure that all the team would be re-briefed about the Gold membership discount entitlement. Once again thanks for the help and advice.

I joined the Gold membership as I believed it would pay for itself when the time came for my annual service (my Birmingham delearship was alleged to give 30% discount). Well it came to service time and guess what - no discount on the service, only on parts required over and above standard service parts. Oh well - live and learn. :megaangry:

Thanks Janey. Should be a quick return on the gold membership costs.

Thanks Parrot. I,m getting around 24 mpg mainly urban driving. I've read that it gets better in the summer? Is this about average? Only had the car just over a month.
Thx

Anyone had issues with drivers seat motor? (Forward/ backwards) Mine stopped working today after groaning whilst moving. Anyone know if motor is available or if other Toyota models may fit?
