  1. Hi Gabriella and welcome to the club!

Hope this experience isn't making you have any regrets. Fingers crossed it will be something quite simple like in the video that Dec put up, maybe you could show it to the dealer and they could check the switch out?

I've owned numerous Lexus models over the years and like you recently purchased a IS250c my first ever convertible and I absolutely love it! Only problem I've had since buying it is waiting for the rain to stop!

Please let us know how you get on.

    All the best,

    Tony

  2. Looks like you found a great company who sorted your problem for a decent price.

I had this problem before with an RX300 that I owned (no longer) and found a locksmith fairly near me in Orpington who sorted my keys out at a very reasonable price. Always pays to spend a bit of time looking round instead of just splashing big cash on the same or inferior oem products.

Glad your enjoying the 350, I miss my 300 for it's sheer space and carrying capacity but do love my IS250 convertible!

    All the best

    Tony

had the work carried out yesterday & after 2 hour's of work they look as new as they can be. I've dabbled with various DIY options in the past (and failed)but  now rather pay someone who does restorations for a living to do it properly. by the way, he did use various machines, discs, 3M compounds & was finished it off with a GYEON PURE coating

Hi Ahmed, can you put up a link to the company who done it or just a name and number? What sort of price did they charge?

    Thanks, Tony
