  1. I'm looking into getting cheap power out of my standard IS200 so I'm considering looking for bigger injectors, but to do this I've got a few questions to ask.

    1) What is the capacity of the standard injectors?

    2) I know the ECU is self learning, so will it adjust to compensate for the extra flow of fuel like it does when you install a high flow air filter?

    Thanks in advance. Andy

  2. Hi folks. I've got a '02 IS200 SE which I've owned for about 6months now when I bought the car it handled fine but after refurbishing the wheels and swopping them around I noticed the handling had deteriorated, I began to think maybe the dampers needed changing as the car is 14years old and I have no service history or maybe its how its meant to be so I was looking in to IS200 Sport suspension, and then yesterday I had a brain wave, Tyre Pressures so out I go to check them, the rear drivers side was 50psi and all the others ranged between 29psi and 35psi. So I've set them all to 39psi as a starting point as the information plaque on the 'B'pilar is for the 215/45/17 tyre, but all the tyres on my IS are 225/45/17.

Anyway I was wondering what pressures do other people run? Do you run different pressures front to back?

Sorry for the rambling, I thought if I wrote out how I found the solution to my problem of the wayward handling then it might help someone else how has the same issue.

  3. I havent had my IS200 long but have just noticed that the off side rear wheel has a stud missing. How hard are they to remove? And do I need any specialist tools to do the job?  My dad has said they can just be knocked out from behind. Is this right? I thought I would ask here first before going at it and getting stuck.

    Thanks for your help people.

    Hi,

I was just going to ask why you don't want to lower it? The standard set up makes it sit so high especially at the back.

I had mine on Eibachs and it still looked to high at the back before i went to coilovers which are amazing and I wish I had done that years ago. Mine is more comfortable than the standard set up.

If you want to improve handling the best upgrade would the anti roll bars, you will really notice the difference. I went with Eibach again and that cuts a lot of the roll.

Mine now has Meister R coilovers, Eibach Anti roll bars, Eibach spacers front and rear and a front Cusco second hand strut brace and it drives and feels and looks great.

Where did you get the Eibach Anti Roll Bars? Can't find then anywhere, not even on the Eibach site.

  5. I found the port and connected the Scanguage but it doesn't seem to work with my 2002 IS 200. I know the Scanguage works because I had it in my last car.

Does anyone have one fitted to their IS? What information is it displaying on the Gage page?

    Thanks :)

  6. Thanks for the welcome guys. This is my first Lexus, in fact its my first Japanese car, even my first saloon.

The IS200 has impressed me loads, its not as quick as my last car (Renaultsport Megane with 280bhp) but the IS feels so much better with double the mileage of the Megane the IS feels tight and rattle free and all the electrics work whick is a novelty coming from a Renault. lol.
