  1. Paul, I have no idea what the original service was which no longer works.

    I have just spoken with lexus as having updated password etc as indicated in my post above I still got the message that password was not correct but for a brief second the speed data was there and then removed. It appears that the new lexus Link + app is used but my car cannot register as although it is a 2022 reg car the model is actually 2020 and the new app has a problem with the older models. So now my problem has been registered with the Lexus multimedia team for a resolution.... watch this space.

  2. The lack of seed camera data and the messages about not being able to log in all seem to be related to Lexus now chraging for the service.

    I have just used the lexus Link app on the mobile phone to update my password (use forgot password feature) and I did it on my PC not the phone. Then that registered the car OK and allowed me to go to the e-store and there you can see you now have to pay for map updates and speed camers data. The speed camera data is avail;able for a free trial of one month and then £37/year.
    Now have to test in the car to see if it all works.

    Can't say I am happy with Lexus making this change to its customers without notification. My Lexus dealer knew nothing about it. I will think twice before getting another one and my current one is the fifth I have had.over the years.

    My registrration docs says my car is 2022. I guess there must be abother criteria.as well as 2022. Its certainly not the spec as mine is the top range (not sport)

    I still have the problem. I wasa advised to use the mobile phone app to change password etc. but that doesnt seem to be able to solve it either. See my latest post on the use of Lexus Link and lexus Link+

  5. What us the difference between the mobile phone apps Lexus Link and Lexus Link+?

    I cannot regeister with Lexus link+ as it does not recognise my VIN or regestration plate number.

    I am registered with Lexus Link OK, not that it provides much of a service in my view.

    Is it related to the loss of download data for speed cameras? which Lexus seem to have stopped without warning.

  6. My RX450h premium is now 10 months old and the only main issues I have experienced are intermittent failure of the lane control and auto high beam both of which use a common sensor i.e. camera.

    The dealer can find no faults as every time a check is made the car starts off as normal and everything works. Failures tend to occur after a period of time driving anything from 1/2 hr or more. Failures on average occur once evry three days. All very frustrating.

    Another item that is inconsistant is the radio when the vehicle is switched on will be OFF and not as it was last left on a station or Ipad via USB. Again this is intermittent but not so frequent as the lane control issue.

    Coupled with the above the passenger seat aircon setting will also  show a blank on start up rather than the setting i.e. 22 (degrees) swithching the air recirc auto on and off sometimes will bring it back on.

    Again the dealer cannot find anything wrong.

    All the above may well be software problems but I am told I have the latest software for the vehicle.

    My gripe is really that Lexus do not seem to take these issues seriously enough to fully investigate ...it cost the dealers time and money .....and if there are software bugs Lexus are unlikely to admit to them as they then have to issue a software update ...again time and money. So my reveiw of the car does not give Lexus the stars it would otherwise deserve as in all other respects its a good car and I am now on my fourth model all from new so I am still faithful to the brand......but for how long?

    Oh and by the way don't believe the quoted MPG my average over the 10 months is 36.9. The winter months have bought it down from 37.6 and I think my driving is careful no foot down or high speeds and thats on ECO all the time.

     

  7. On the lexus premier I have been unable to log into the customer portal for traffic and information and google etc.

    I just get a cannot connect with an ID 195 reference.

    Phone works for everything else, and I have a portal password that works on line from a PC.

    Asked Lexus customer service to help and all I had for a reply is contact your local dealer.

    Not the sort of reply I would expect from a luxury Car maker. How can a dealer help with the Lexus on line portal?

    No explanation of what ID195 means.

    Nil point Lexus..
