So how do they register New RX'es in Hungary? The ones sold in your country will have identical Headlamps, except AVS would track to the Right, instead of Left, but the actual Headlamp unit is identical. That is applicable for all HID and LED headlamps with auto-leveling.

I wondering if local Hungarian Lexus could help you out with that?

The UK RHD and EU LHD cars have different beams. The car's headlamps in Hungary has the LHD beam.

I called the Hungarian Lexus dealer and they said that I have to change the RHD car headlamps if I want to register in Hungary. The cost is very expensive. About Ł1,200.

After I called the Hungarian Traffic Authority and I told them that Lexus RX400h beam are flat. They said that they do not care it. I need the LHD beam not other solution is available.

So, I have two option. I have to buy an LHD headlamps or I have to find a Xenon specialist who can convert the RHD headlamp beam to LHD headlamp beam.

So far I could not find a man in England who deal with such things (re-alignment).

I don't think you need to do anything.  The headlights on the RX are not "handed" ie the dipping is not asymmetric as on many cars but both headlights dip evenly.  The only thing you may need to change is to disable the "following mode" (AVS I think) so the dipped lights do not track as you turn corners as these are biased on the UK models towards the left and the LHD versions will be biased the other way.

Advice from Lexus UK is below

I can confirm that the HID (High Intensity Discharge) headlamps on the RX 350 do not need to be converted for travel on the continent.  The set up of the headlamp is such that the light shines in a horizontal flat beam which has no kick up and as such is not dazzling to drivers of oncoming cars.

As you have suggested, we would recommend that the Intelligent Adaptive Front-lighting System (I-AFS) is switched off when travelling on the continent.

    Yours sincerely

I am afraid that the Hungarian transport authority is very strict. The simple AFS switch off they will not reassure them.

Do you know how RX 400h headlamps beam?

Normally the left hand drive and right hand drive cars work different beam style.
