  1. I've been told it has to be ordered to Japan and it will take at least a month.

Insurance will provide a hire car in the meantime.

Thanks for the feedback, will get a catloc installed then. My neighbours RX was parked next to mine, he has a catloc (or something similar) and his wasn't stolen. He put it after he got the converten stolen twice in 6 months.

  2. Another victim of a catalytic converter theft here...

    Is the Catloc worth it?

Have you paid the excess and gone via insurance or just paid the full cost yourselves? I have no clue how much insurance will increase next year.

My neighbour had his stolen twice last year, I only moved here 6 months ago, looks promising

I have parking sensors and no screen. When i reverse i get a little outline of a car which shows bars indicating how close i am to the garage door, in addition to the beeps intensifying. IIRC, this only works when reversing, not when parking forwards. The front sensors aren't too great in that respect.

So front sensors work only in reverse?

  4. Under normal circumstances I agree. But sometimes when in reverse and turning I've come across situations where I had obstacles in oposite corners of the car, and in those situations is when the screen comes handy.

Parking sensors is one of those things that put me on my nerves when I first had them, but I can't live without them now.

    Thanks for the info!

  5. I haven't had a test drive yet, but the other day I had a look at one with Advanced trim and the interior was awesome. I am extremely relaxed driver, always within the speed limits or less and I think this car would be ideal for me and wife. I hadn't even considered this car but I walked accross one in a dealership and was absolutely stunned.

The thing is I don't know how long I'm going to stay in UK so I'd like to spend as little as possible, also having a new model on 2017 will devaluate the car even more if I have to sell it in 1-2 years.

I've read here and in other forums that these cars are very reliable, have almost no issues, and that they only require oil and tire changes, and sometimes brake pads. I would get 12 month warranty and the manufacturer 2 years on batteries etc.

So given I find a 2013 - 2016 with a lot of miles, but an interior in great shape and ok exterior (and FSH of course), would you buy it?

    Thanks!
