And by the way, I speak with the opie olis today regarding the C3 that they recommend in their website, and they said to me that was a mistake from them, and should recommend C2 oil not C3.

Now that said, I believe you referring to Castrol Magnatec, which is in any way superior oil to what your engine was designed for hence it almost doesn't matter.

Thx for the reply. Yes is Castrol magnatec 5w30 that Im willing to buy, but I see that Mobil 1 ESP 5w30 is very good as well...What you recommend? Castrol or Mobil?

Only use 0w30 or 5w30 low ash C2 oil! It doesn't really matter what brand - but Mobil 1 ESP 5w30 is used by many on here, Toyota PFE 5w30 C2 oil from any Toyota dealer would do the trick! Just make sure it's PFE C2 spec! As for additives I wouldn't bother just use good quality diesel (maxol or texaco etc) and give it a good revving on the motorway once a week to keep the dpf happy!

Nice car just keep an eye on the oil and coolant levels - my 220d has done 6,000 miles on its new engine and guzzles oil. I used Castrol Magnetec 5w30 C2!!! spec for top ups - lexus service used Shell Helix Ultra Extra 5w30 C2 oil with the new engine!

Sorry to ask but because After read dozens of threads about what oil should I use in my lexus is220d im still without knowing what is the recommended oil. Some says Castrol magnatec 5w30 c2 and others Castrol magnatec 5w30 c3. So which one I should use?
