This is the one that I use and it works well on a Windows 10 64-bit laptop.
This seems to be the one that I have, at least i Think it is? have you had success ever at regenerating a DPF, in particular is lexus 220d ones?
-
I use laptop with techstream also however,
The cable that i'm using doesn't seem to allow me to do a regeneration of the DPF? - what cable do you use Herbie?
-
John,
EGR Valve is opening and closing (tested using Techstream)
The fueling could of been the issue? I will top that up!
Well as far as I know it does, I don't have an DPF Error on the dash, however, it smokes constantly! I wanted to try a regeneration before purchasing a 5th injector and trying other routes.
Also - I have once tried and failed with replacing the DPF, the one I bought was the wrong one for the car and so the old one went back on! when i looked inside the old one some of the material was a little bit broken?
thank you for your help!

Hi John,
Yes up to temperature and running, I run the test and watch the RPM's and they don't change.

Hi,
I purchased toyota techstream a while ago through eBay in order to do my own DPF Regeneration.
Recently i managed to get connected to the vehicle and could read all the data etc. However when i went to do a regeneration the option came up to enable it, and when i clicked this although it changed to say "Yes" for regeneration the car actually did nothing?
Can anyone help or explain what Im doing wrong?

I fitted Osram Cool Blue Intense bulbs to my car a few months back and find them to be pretty decent. They're said to be 20% brighter than regular bulbs, which sounds about right.
Do you notice a difference? How do they compare to LED etc? I mean my lights are actually rediculous.

Well I've just seen these pop up online. I have emailed the company and they say they are direct bolt on replacements, with free shipping for a limited time however they do not have the AFS function so I'm not sure if they will trigger the AFS warning light on the dash.
They're made by V-land, the Chinese company who currently make the taillights that everyone (including myself) have!

Well I've owned the car 2 years and haven't done the air filter until now but it really shouldn't ever get to a condition like this
-
So this is where the leak was coming from was missing the bolt circled as shown.
Replaced this and the leak has gone, however I don't think that's going to fix everything and believe that its all backed up everywhere and the whole system needs clearing out.
Going to be doing intake and manifold clean and may even replace the DPF as its caused nothing but issues however no more check engines in the recent months so thought it had cleared itself out... obviously not...
Also check out this air filter !

Can't seem to find a guide on removing the exhaust manifold. Does anyone have any link to a manual or anything of any help?

It is looking likely.
Not sure how feasible it is now, but in the old days we used to disconnect/stop the fan and move a bit of tissue paper around the manifold to see if air was escaping.
Will try and give this a go! will have to wait until the weekend for now just hope it lasts until then!

The second pic looks sooty, so maybe you have an exhaust gasket blowing.
I hope you don't have a cracked manifold.I was thinking manifold because of the sheer amount of smoke plus it smells so bad in the cabin exactly like the exhaust :s
11 minutes ago, Shahpor said:Well, from the video it would look like the front of the exhaust manifold is leaking, but it is hard to tell.
Does it look like it is swirling around the front? That would suggest it is blowing forward and then the fan is pushing it back.
Yes it swirls as you say, when it reaches the fan... guessing its the manifold i suppose i need to investigate further but know its not an easy task to remove said manifold.

Turbo seems to be acting fine though comes in as and when it should - would it effect its operation if this was to be bad?
It also has a layer of some kind of soot on the plastics? so again i suppose this suggests the manifold?
-
I know this isn't a great deal of information but is anyone able to help diagnose?
It happens obviously allot more when the car is warmed up and it seems to be coming from the left hand side of the engine bay around the turbo but not actually the turbo..Something is clearly leaking but just hoping someone may be able to know something thats common issue that happens around this area?

Below is a few problems that I hope someone can help me with...
• Engine makes a tapping noise (will record audio / video in due course)
• When in traffic after driving for a while the engine feels like its going to conk out and does on occasion
• Occasionally if I have to do a sudden brake the power of everything feels like limp mode but doesn't actually enter it. Can't go fast at all and now power whatsoever.
• Feels like I have no power whatsoever until the turbo kicks in.
Believe this is it? Hope someone can shed some light maybe there all linked?

Used similar to do oil and oil filter worked fine

Do you have a link?

-
All I can say is I have a similar problem, and look forward to an answer from someone. Following post.
