  1. I don't often post but today I feel compelled to. Supergharged and all of the committiee do a great job for all of us L.O.C's and I for one am very grateful. If I ever have a problem with my car or I need some help this is the first place I turn to and there is always someone willing to help. That is what I like about this group and most of the time Supergharged is one of the first to reply. I generaly come on here to have a read and only post when I want something. I have read with great intrest all about this topic, only for some idiot to come along and lower the tone on what was a bit of an ongoing joke. I like the banter we have on this forum and would be upset if people felt that they wanted to pack it all up because of some low life. All as I can say is Supergharged you do a great job and please stay around dont let some fool get you down.

  2. Could someone please advise me on the best wat to remove my front bumper please?

Is it just a case of removing the 8 bolts underneath the car the 3 each side of the wheel arch and the 2 screws either side of the grill when you open up the bonet?. Also do you have to disconect the fog lights and headlight washer jets when removing the bumper? if so how easy is all of this to do and fit back?

Kind regards for any help recived!

  3. I pick up my styling kit this weekend TTE Lip Spoiler and Rear Skirt, TRD Side Skirts and TRD Front lip spoiler! I would like to know of any of you that have fitted your kit yourselves is it easy to do? How do I stick the kit to the car? and if it is glued or taped what is the best type of glue or tape? and where do I get it from?

Thanks in advance foe any help!

  4. 1st of all let's get one thing clear I work for Scottish&Newcastle Breweries. I make this point early on so that you don't think I work for Meguiars.

    This is a true storey.

My car was damaged by some stupid :tsktsk: in a supermarket carpark with a trolley. I had to get the rear off side door re-skinned and a new rear pannel. As the car was in the garage I decided that I would also get my front bumper re-sprayed to cover up all the stone chips. An excellent job was done by my local Lexus garage last weekend.

I had bought the Meguiars Gold Class shampoo and Car Polish as well as the washing Mit and Terry Cloth about a month ago before the accident and had not had chance to use it untill today. Well!!!!!!! my new paint work looks and feels great lexus had done a great job to match the new paint with the three year old paint on my vehicle. I've been itching to use the Meguiars stuff for so long I decided that today would be the day, so I washed the whole vehicle with the shampoo and waxed all but my three new pannels. And this is the bit you aint gona belive until you try Meguiars for yourselves!!!! My three year old pannels now look newer, glossier and a deeper colour than my week old pannels and to make things even better, my next door neighbour has just bought a brand new IS200 in Platinum Ice the same colour as mine (im Not Happy :tsktsk: I want one now) and mine is even shineyer than his :D :D :D ! But im not going to tell him what polish and wax Ive just used (He's already asked) So do me a favour please dont tell him about Meguiars either!!!!! :driving:

  5. I have just had 2 pannels and the front bumper of my car re-sprayed due to damage (some Stupid cow with a supermarket trolley). What I would like to know is how long should I leave the paint work before washing it? and also how long should I leave it before I wax it with Meguiars Gold Class Clear Wax?

Oh and 1 last thing if I was to do the 3 stage Meguiars polishing would I be better not touching my re-sprayed pannels and just giving them a wax?

Kind Regards in advance for any help I recive :driving:

  6. Can someone please tell me why whenever I go to post a topic I get loged out?

An example of this would be when I went to post a dealer review today I had a message pop up telling me that I was Loged Out! I wasn't and have since tried to post again when loged in (approx 6) times and been told once again that I am Logged Out. This also happens to me on the Modifications and Tuning page. Before some smart :tsktsk: says "that's because you talk C :tsktsk: ! you'd all be very intrested in what I have to say.

    Kind Regards :driving:

  7. Does anyone no the address for the R.A.C Vehicle check? This isnt a HPI check just a check that once you put in the car registration it gives the AGE,MAKE,MODEL & COLOUR of the vehicle and number of owners. It was on here yesterday but I cant find it now. It is a free check. Thank's in advance :driving:

  8. Hello all

I dont know if washer jets is the correct name for what I am after but I think thats what they are called. What I want is a pair of jets that spray the water on to your windscreen but I want a set that has the 3 nozels. If anyone has a set in Platinum Ice in A1 condition I would be intrested in buying them! or could some one tell me where I could get a set and approx how much they are?

    Kind Regards

By the wat before someone tells me I have posted in the wrong forum I KNOW But After half a dozen trys in the Buy and Sell forum with no joy othjer that an error message I give in.

  9. My best quote for a Bodykit for my IS200 is £1358.58

    this breaks down as

    Painted Corner Spats (Code GBNGA-P0064-GF) = £252.72

    Side Skirt (Code 08150-53810) = £248.87

    Rear Spoiler (Code PZ439-C1460-00) = £204.27

    Rear Spoiler (Code PZ402 - C1450-AB) = £252.72

    Plus £400 paint and fitting.

Has anyone any idea of where I could source these parts cheaper without buying from abroad also I only want to use genuine Lexus parts.

So far I have contacted 4 main Lexus Dealers and 2 approved Lexus Body shops.

    Kind Regards

    lee :driving:
