I have a GS300h and Had before it a 2008 GS 450h, so I well know the difference. If you think that your RC 300h is sufficient for your driving style you can wait for ne ES 300h, if you really like driving FAST keeping a comfortable car 450h is really good, sometimes I still miss how at every speed GS 450h was able to give all the power I needed. If you are in doubt , find the way to test drive it.

Thanks! Am going for a test drive next Saturday and will decide whether to go for the GS or wait for ES

The point is that the  are very different about power. If you like a really fast car GS450h is the choice, if you prefer a newer model wait for ES300h but don't expect the speed of 450h, counterbalanced by a big advantage on mpg and ownership costs.

Thanks Zotto! Aim for the car is to be used on long road trips and weekend getaways as I don't use it for commute. I currently drive a RC300h and happy with it but is restricted to 2 adults hence looking into a sedan and GS sounds like a good option. If I buy a GS, I'll probably keep it for couple of years max

  3. Hello members,

I have bit of a dilemma and am looking to get some advice here. Came across a fantastic GS450h F-Sport (2017 plate) with very low mileage in mint condition however also considering the newly launched ES300h. I like the shape of new ES300h along with interior and safety options however the technical specs are not exciting me with especially car being offered in front wheel in the UK, seems like a spec'd up version of an Avalon.

Am quite keen on the GS450h however the same big question as many other members - will the used car price drop significantly as Lexus has ceased the production of this model and they are focussing on ES and SUV's? Or this is not the right time to buy a GS?

    Thanks in advance!
