Having spoken with my supplying Lexus Dealer and realising that Auxilis (a national all makes repair body shop) repair the cars, I have spoken with Craig Allen at Lexus.

There doesnt seem to be a Lexus dealer with their own bodyshop

yes you are correct, I think they outsource all the works now - streamlining & costs?

  2. Hi all

just an update on my issue, I agreed & had the repairs carried out by claims companies repairer, who made an absolute balls of the job.

New bumper, was dropped after painting & damaged on the corner, by the rear quarter

Rear Chrome trim on bumper fitted incorrectly

mud flaps, re-fitted incorrectly & unable to rectify - suggested tiger seal/ or silicone

obviously I rejected repairs & had the the issues, inspected by Lexus bodyshop & original engineer who inspected the damage & both confirmed my issues.

Requires new bumper, chrome trim & a set of mud flaps

After a lot of arguing about the costs, they have eventually agreed to have the works completed at Lexus bodyshop.

  3. Good evening all

Hope you are all well & keeping warm

After a bit of advise, my car was rear ended just before Xmas minimal damage to bumper, chrome trim & reinforcer bar.

It's a 19 plate vehicle & the repairer is struggling to obtain the chrome protector trim, offering me a black plastic one or one with different a pattern.

I then found that he wasn't using a Lexus dealer for the parts, but a company called Trade Parts Express - I believe this company is sourcing spurious parts, hence the struggle for obtain the correct trim

Am I within my rights to request my vehicle is repaired using genuine Lexus parts?

    TIA

  4. Hi, all, well I've, had a result, after I recorded it & forwarded the video to the service dept, heard nothing at all for approx 10 days.

I then got a mate to have a word with the Dealer Principle to advise him of the issue & would they sort it or do I need to speak with Lexus UK.....& guess what it was booked in again within 2 days & both rear door courtesy light switches, replaced & they also discovered seat belt stalk with an issue, which was on back order, which was replaced on Thursday just gone & hey ho issue sorted!

The diagnostic charge varies from dealership to dealership. Mercedes do charge £165 so £95 isn't bad and the diagnostic charge would apply if the item isn't covered under warranty.

I have had the rear seatbelt buzzer go off sometimes. It usually is based on seatbelt position and if things have been left on the seat. Or underneath

nothing on the seat or underneath, also seat belts are in the retracted/rest position but if you switch off & switch back on its ok for a few hours or even days?

Isn't 2019 car covered under warranty still? It definitely sounds like you been fobbed of even if warranty does not apply for some reason.

Besides this is first time I am hearing rear seats have a buzzer, front seats sure - it will ping until you go mad, but belts in the rear not mandatory so I am a little bit surprised there is buzzer for them.

Exactly my thoughts, even charged me £95 for diagnostics & this is the 3rd service I have had since March, car only has 39500 miles. I think a call to Lexus UK is needed, for clarification.

  7. Hi all, can somebody please advise?......I have the rear seat belt Buzzer/Warning come on randomly, with nobody seated, have had it in at Lexus Leeds & have been advised, with the rear doors being opened/closed more than normal, as the car is a minicab, this is normal for the sensor to go off randomly & have been advised to click the rear belts in, to which I think I have been fobbed off?

Never had a Nano, so my comments are not experience-based, but any sound problems I ever had with a Classic or, more recently a Touch, were to do with the USB connector cables because they were of dubious quality and/or had a short effective life.  I finally bought an Anker brand one (black, 20cm length, therefore less obtrusive, and cheaper, than Apple originals) and never had any issues.  This is also the brand I use for  recharging/non-BT playing from an iPhone, and it has now lasted for over six years.

    Hi Renato

Thanks for your advise, I tried a cheap one first, I have also tried a Juicebitz, so called premium one, but still no joy, maybe try an apple branded

  9. Evening all, hope your all well, just a bit of advice, on the:

Cruise Control - should it hold set speed going downhill?

DAB Radio - in the West Yorks area I am experiencing service a bit hit & miss, anybody else has this issue?

Anybody have experience on Avon ZV7 Tyres, just had a set of 18 inch fitted by ATS, for £367 all in?......original Bridgestones at 27k, but found splitting in between the treads

    TIA

Ah. There's quite a lot of is300h used as private hire especially in Bradford that I see when I deliver there once a week. Good choice for that job. Keep on top of servicing though.

Hi Vlad.....as its only on 24k it will be going into Lexus for all servicing, to keep the Lexus Relax warranty, until at least 100k

Thanks, not even drove it yet due to an issue with my licence but went for a long ride as a passenger and was really impressed. I'm coming from a 09 Focus 1.6 so that alone is a massive leap up lol.

    Hi & welcome Gary

From a Ford, to a quality car, the difference, will be night & day & you'll never go back😊

Hi Javed and welcome to the best Lexus forum there is. Excellent choice in the is300h premium, I've had 2 of them. So what made you want to get one? Looking forward to the pics 📸

Hi Mr Vlad, I am going to start Uber, & this was the best option, apart form the the usual German choice, but I find them too unreliable, even though my son deals in Audis
