Ah! Mines the new UX - but still without apple Car Play... at the moment!

I was actually sitting in my lounge with the car switched off!!

I just opened the app and saw it all connected with journey history etc.

I suggest you call them

Hmmm, mine just connected via the iOS app immediately without log on/off, just refreshed the page.

suggest you check back with the Lexus Tech Help team, as they, for me, appeared to be the only ones that knew what Connected Car was all about!

AliExpress has loads of Chinese versions all at very cheap prices, but obviously not Lexus original parts, and you will need to wait a few weeks/months for delivery. Fine if your spending a few quid...

www.AliExpress.com is a cross between amazon & eBay and is designed to support Chinese exporting to Europe/US. They give you lots of buyer protection and personally I always use a spare credit card reserved exclusively for such online activity 

Got mine to work 🙂 The Lexus.co.uk Tech help desk guy obviously called the Dealer who 'switched on something'...

The Lexus Link app on my Iphone now gives me those features I mentioned before - although no where near the features that they get in the USA 😞

The new UX manual page 231 gives details of "Automatic Light Control System"

Page 507 gives a couple of Lexus Dealer settings to make the time of lights staying on longer

I called the website Tech Help Line 01737 367026 and a very helpful Amah has offered to educate my local dealership...

Apparently you'll then get the option  of Find my Car; Real driving analytics (downloadable) ; and also sharing journeys

I've always loved the car hires I've had in America that had this 'power trunk' function, but equally wondered how it would practically work when at home.

Dose anyone recall the Top Gear/GT episode where the gang try and get a dog in their SUVs and then shut the tailgate electronically - far better watching that the instructional video above 🙂

I've got a puppy who's too small to get anywhere close to the boot lip at the moment so I'm more bothered with how I will shut it with her safely inside, than how to open it anyway...

I bought a new UX in September and was told that this is a 'wait-and-see' area.

I've just seen that today there is a new Navi Owners Manual and that has reference on page 16 to both apple Car Play and Android Auto, showing them to be in the 'Apps' section of the screen

Just about to become a LOC member as I've just got a new UX (without apple car play)

BUT when registering on My lexus.co.uk, the October edition of the Navi Owners manual document name OM76385E on page 16 it provides reference to BOTH apple Car Play AND Android Auto :)

So may be it is coming...!
