We're having the same discussion at Euro LOC at the moment. My CD-Player starts to make problems too. Although I changed nothing in the last couple of months - same CD's (CD-R), same burner, same speed, same program (iTunes/MacOS X 10.3) - my in car stereo comes up with "error 1" quite often when playing newer CD's. As someone other here mentions iTunes - perhaps apple has changed something in newer versions that causes problems with CD's in our cars?

I will try to burn the same CD on my PC with the same media, speed etc... but with another program than iTunes. If it works that may indicate a problem with iTunes

At the Lexus booth in Geneve they told me that there are no plans to release the IS350 in Europe anytime soon. I guess it's the same as with the IS300, we will have to wait 2 or 3 years before we get the IS350

I send a mail to the tech support of Vaistech today - nice people but I didn't like their answer:

Unfortunately we don't sell outside of US. Regarding whether it is going to work we haven't tested any of the European cars.

The first part might not be a problem for some of us but as long as there is no positive feedback from american IS300 owners (I hope the audio unit is the same as ours) I won't risk to spend the money - it's not that cheap unfortunatly
