  1. Ok I've not had my IS 200 SE (Auto) for very long (6 weeks) but it's definately not sluggish and boring!! Is he sure it was a Lexus and not a Lada??? Yes I spose the may be a little thirsty but that is out-weighed by the equipment level and build quality, my previous car was an old T5 Volvo (one of the first 1992!) and the lexus seems to be more potent and handles much better. The build quality is far superior to that of the swedes, I had a Saaab and beleve me they are nothing special (temped to say boring here!) I traded mine for a Volvo (nuff said!)

You just can't please everyone I spose, but I bet 90% of Lexus owners would agree they are a damn fine car!

  2. Hi Guys, lucky for me I live in Croydon and the dealership in Purley is fantastic! Everyone there is friendly, well dressed, polite and keen to help, one guy there (who I bought my car from 3 weeks ago) said he was new, he'd only been there a month and used to work at Audi, he told me the head of sales said to him on his first day 'you forget everything you ever learned at Audi, this is a Japanese car company and we do things differently here, you treat every person that walks through that door like he's paying your mortgage!'

Beleive me, they treated me perfectly, and I got some nice bits thrown in for free (Carpet mats with the Lexus logo embroidered on, a golf umbrella and 2 stainless steel keyrings). Believe it or not I also got a full tank of petrol and a good trade-in price for my old car (Volvo).

    Kind regards Crookieboy

  3. I think 320 miles on 60 litres equated to about 25mpg, as I said I've only had the car about 2 weeks and its been pretty much all town driving, I've been driving it fairly hard, probably harder than the T5 cos it handles better, 25 is ok for now I'm sure as the novelty wears off I'll be a little more sober with the right foot (nah!). Also mine is an auto (sorry forgot to say)

    Regards Crookieboy

  4. Hi guys, I'm new here so please excuse if this is out of date, recently bought my IS200 its got 9500 miles on the clock and I'm getting about 320mile from a tank (till the light comes on) I'm using BP Petrol and it's costing me about £45 to fill it up. I have to confess to previously owning an old Volvo T5 (Bit thrashed and tatty) which only got about 350 from £65 worth of fuel so the IS is plenty better for me and miles better on the build quality and equipment!

    Kind Regards Crookieboy.
