I agree about the Honda CRV, I had a test drive in one those and couldn't believe the amount of road and wind noise at motorway speeds. The ES is far superior.

Apparently I'm still awaiting moderation; I'm just going outside and may be some time...
The same here.

I just posted on the Lexus site, I doubt it will appear.

I think eventually there is a good chance this will happen. Toyota and Lexus will eventually have to face the legal system due to the inaction. It could be argued that designing and building Canbus systems without encryption is a form of negligence.
I'm not so sure don't other manufacturers use the same system, sort of industry standard.
What I'd like to know is why are Lexus and Toyota products appear targeted so much?

That's the problem once something like this happens you lose confidence.
I've loved the car it's quiet comfortable and apparently easy to steal, a real shame.

My car got stolen in the early hours of this morning.
Images from my neighbours camera shows four scroats passing his house and in five minutes my car being driven away.
It's obviously upsetting and I still cant believe that it's happened. What can be done to prevent these thefts.

I'm thinking of buying a new RX350H, I've driven the car and I like how it handles, apart from the bings and bongs.
My concern is the previous generation being susceptible to Canbus theft. I read somewhere that the new model has an encryted Canbus.
Can you wise people on this forum advise me if this is true, and if possible direct me to the source. I've asked the dealer who said he would take it up with Lexus, but I'm still waiting for a response.
Thanks

I can recommend Adam Jeffrey he's based in Aylesbury,7365445C-F8C4-4F15-B8BC-057878B872AE.heic if that's any good.
He did a very good job on my new ES a few weeks ago.

I have an ES on order so it's great to hear an objective review.

My car was recovered a few weeks after being stolen. It was involved in an accident and subsequently written off.
The thieves abandoned the car and it was left in the middle of the road, a sad end to a very good car.
