  1. Hi Peter, I have the same problem with my '98 RX300 Harrier. I am taking the car to a dealer next Tuesday for a service and the engineers have agreed to look into this for me and perhaps test an english CD. My understanding is that the menus will remain in Japanese, but you should be able to select UK destinations via the sat/nav; that is, of course, if it works!! Have you got your TV converted from NTSC to PAL yet?

    Regards

    Joe

  2. Hello all.

I've been doing some more Internet research on updating my Japanese sat/nav to work in the UK. I've spoken to Lexus who were not able to tell me much but said they see no reason why a CD update would not do the trick. My new problem is that CD updates are no longer available - they are all DVD. I'm desparate to try this and as such am prepared to offer a case of beer to anyone who agrees to lend me a CD to test - now that is desparation! :D . I've got a 1998 Lexus RX300 (Harrier).

    I'm crossing my fingers!!

    Regards,

    Joe

  3. Good morning.

I purchased my first RX300 yesterday and am delighted with it. It' s an R reg 1998 jap import. Needless to say I'm a bit confused by the menu and a little dissapointed that the TV and sat nav don't function. I see from previous postings that other RX300 drivers have had these problems and was wondering if there is a real solution. I have trawled the web unsuccessfully and don't know any other RX300 owners. There is talk of a CDROM which may resolve the issue. Also, what are my chances of getting an owners manual in PDF format?

Any responses or advice would be greatly appreciated.

    Many thanks,

    Joe
