  1. My 2019 UX had the same issue regarding a noisy hatch strut.

I mentioned it when I had the car serviced at Lexus Glasgow a month ago. After examining the car they agreed the faulty strut would be replaced under the Relax Warranty this was carried out yesterday.

  2. My UX was serviced yesterday at Lexus Glasgow. I mentioned a strut on the rear tailgate was creaking especially during warm weather. I was later informed the O/S strut was faulty and would be replaced under the Lexus Relax Warranty.

I was shocked however at the cost of the supply and replacement of the faulty part (see attached).

  3. Hi Hamish.

Thanks for the information regarding the rear camera.

I’m considering fitting a dash cam to my UX and have narrowed my choices down to the Nextbase 622GW & the BlackVue DR590X.

I hope you don’t mind me asking but where did you place your front facing camera? It’s a bit busy behind the rear view mirror and want to make sure all cables are hidden and my view  is not impeded. Also where did you route the cable for the rear view camera? Over the top of the doors or under the door scuff plates?

Apologies for all the questions but I’d rather have the opinion of someone who has actually fitted a dash cam to a UX than follow the random videos on YouTube.

    Cheers.

  4. I’ve also had this issue. 2nd year 20k service was carried out on 6th September at Lexus Glasgow. The hybrid health check, engine/fuel flush was subsequently updated online however the 20k service was not. On raising the issue with Lexus Glasgow they stated they would contact Lexus UK to resolve the matter but I heard nothing further. I contacted Lexus UK Customer Relations via email and they couldn’t have been more helpful. They obtained a copy of the service job card from Lexus Glasgow which they forwarded to their I.T. team who re-uploaded the data to MyLexus. My online service history is now up to date and in the past week my apple Car Play update which I had done when purchasing the car is now showing online.

So, I guess that the Lexus Dealer`s name appears on your plates now Sandy?

A win/win situation as he gets free advertising and you get free plates. He merely absorbs the cost within his advertising budget which probably gets reimbursed by Lexus G.B.

    Hi John

Correct….Lexus Glasgow branding appears on my registration plates. Personally I would prefer to display that rather than some random plate makers name and post code.

    Cheers.

  6. Hi Robert.

I recently assigned my cherished number onto my UX. Lexus Glasgow kindly made up my plates for free and also offered to fit them. They supplied the larger rear plate and the normal sized front plate, both came pre drilled for easy fitting. Perhaps your local Lexus dealer will be just as accommodating.

    Cheers.

    Sandy.

  7. Hi.

I’ve been following the Lexus UX forum for a while and absorbing all the information available from other members posts.
I finally found my preferred UX F Sport, premium plus pack, Sonic Titanium with flare red leather upholstery at my local Lexus dealer in Glasgow and took delivery of the car a couple of days ago.

It’s great to finally be the owner of the UX and I look forward to being a member of the forum and having access to a wealth of knowledge about the Lexus brand.

    Cheers.
