    Hi thank for replay.

I’ll order a new battery this week and pray the issue disappears and goes away as this is the first time happening since I’ve owned the car and putting in a new (the Lexus Panasonic) in January 2021. FYI I have the mark Lev sound system so majority of the time daily I do tend to play my music almost at full power as well for three years straight I can imagine that would have a negative effect on the battery over time?

I should imagine it may have an effect on your ears Ricardo (?)

I bought my car from Stoke and they were very helpful with a document issue that they sorted out for me.

AH! You bought a car, another matter for someone who has not but needing a warranty issue looking at..

Exeter? From my experience they would be bottom. Service department is dire. As I say, my experience but based on a lot of poor service.

Yes it’s a funny old world as most on here (so I read) who use Stoke give the place a thumbs up.

These are awards made by Lexus to the dealers in their network. There is no paying to enter, and not 'everyone is a winner' because clearly some dealers didn't win anything. It's who Lexus GB believe are best in these categories.

Should it not be the customers (?)

As Stoke would be at the bottom & Snows of Exeter at the top from my experience.

Tut-tut, Len.  Paella should never be stirred but, as any (pedantic) valenciano will tell you, merely shaken using the paellera’s side-handles.

Yes as having lived in the area for quite a few years (my email will endorse that) and having cooked it for a group of local friends (but never grand mullouscous) I tend to agree..

Like anything, it might be great there but never the

same here. (Wherever that may be)

We’ll be finishing off the Chicken Noodle, Lemon Grass broth that I made yesterday, with its added carrots, red pepper, red chillies, ginger, star anise, celery, leeks, pak choi, spring onions, mushrooms, garlic and soy sauce….. before it combusts spontaneously.

    Sounds quite nice.

  7. Re read what I wrote and sorry about that as it looks a tad rude.

Anyway these are the markings on the screen fitted & I did check with Autoglass first that they had my chassis number to check what glass was fitted by Lexus ( tint etc )

Yes you can remove it but you lose the benefit of having it.  You can see the fuel and you can set the air conditioning to warm up or cool down the interior.  It will warn you of its location including if it gets stolen.   Mine even sent a message to say one of the rear windows wasn’t closed when the wife was shopping and when she went to look she realised she must have caught the switch when leaving the car.  It was open a tiny bit and it warned us. Having said all that, mine was a pain at first and never connected properly despite me trying all sorts of things off this forum but I went to the dealer and they got one of their techy geeks (not a mechanic, an IT sort) to connect it and it’s been perfect since.  I can 100% assure you, if it isn’t working it is because it isn’t connected properly.

With any of this stuff it should be easier than an easier thing to use !

I should never need to take it to Lexus to a ( Techy Geek) to sort.

I was in my Son’s Tesla this week and it sorted itself (plain & simple) unless you need to charge it at some other charger than a Tesla one. ( he needed to change it’s charging rate)

Wake up Lexus we were (my Son & I ) were in BudaPest at the weekend but he could talk to the car at anytime to the car parked in the UK.

Scary I know (for as Old Git’s) but such is life nowadays.

I have to say that the Lexus dealer in Exeter, Snows, treated me very differently from John's experience. Second key handed over along with locking wheel bolts fitted, coffee and biscuits for me the missus and the dog and a nice chat with the charming receptionist! Made arrangement to have the CANBUS theft protection plate fitted, but in the event it transpired that this was already taken care of during manufacture.

+1 for Snows from me as well, only used the once for my last service but was impressed.

Yes Brian, when I bought the car from Lexus Newcastle driving it back there was a noise from the rear bit like old bed springs! Derby identified it as delamination of bushes in the rear trailing arm assembly a very expensive fix that Newcastle should have covered under dealer warranty. After some backwards and forwards between Derby and Newcastle someone covered the cost not sure who but it was not me 😎

Thanks for that info Phil and I will ask my local dealer who last serviced my car and pointed out that the trailing arm bushing had seen better days to make a warranty claim for me.

Well it's been almost 3 years since I bought my RX and I have to say it's been a joy to own. It's been covered by a 3 year extended warranty and service package by Lexus Derby who have been absolutely fine. The warranty has been called upon three times, internal movement sensor, air con condenser and rear trailing arms. This more than justified the warranty investment. So based on this experience I have bought a one year Extended Plus Warranty payable in ten installments admin via TWG as usual. But at 93k and 13 years old it seems a a sensible risk as it represents £45 a month cost of ownership which I can well live with. But I have held back on renewing a service agreement as it offered an intermediate followed by a full? I just couldn't see the justication for a full service after say 3000 miles, throwing away Iridium plugs for example! I welcome LOC thoughts?

    Hi Phil.

Can you tell me a little more please about the rear trailing arms issue you had and just what was wrong..

Was it the bushings that needed changing as if they changed them under warranty that is good to know.
