I replaced mine ( completely unworn) for the wood version.
I asked Paul Frost if he had any and after sending a couple of pictures of the trim colour he sent me a perfectly matched one in as new condition for free 😀
Unfortunately no picture at the moment as out of the UK.
Do you ever use the sequential shift on yours John? I tried mine when I first purchased the car but that 6 speed is so smooth you can’t hear or feel the gear changes so I just leave it in D. If you do need that extra performance it’s just a flick of a switch into sports mode.
Would be interested to see what you've done when you're back in the UK. Yes was worried about colour matching and fake wood is it's all otherwise from the same specific tree. Did Paul Frost use the birds eye maple? I've not had a play with the sequential shift yet. I'm still getting used to the car (I've only had it for a month and would probably end up trying to use it like a manual if I tried due to muscle memory). So many features on this car.

Yep, he sold the S Class to buy the LS.
He did take the Lexus to Lexus Reading and was very complimentary of their service. It also seems that apart from a suspension issue and the water leaks, there isn't that much wrong with it, so it looks like he got himself a bit of a bargain.
Yes once the minor issues are sorted out, mechanically these things can run forever and he only paid £1000 or so if I remember correctly.

It looks gorgeous but I think a lot of people will miss that fruity exhaust note from the V10. What are your thoughts?

My ordering didn't go well in the end and I'm getting my money back as the item wasn't delivered. I've decided to scrap the idea of an Android head unit and go with the Bluetooth device that you've recommended previously from Germany. Installed it and so far so good.

Yes similar to that one but the slightly newer model. Thanks yes I've had a browse on Club Lexus as well but a lot of the pages are quite old with out of date models. A lot of the older models had an issue with the start up speed for some of the older displays but I've seen some general impressions that this one doesn't involve you waiting 30 seconds before you can do anything once you start up the car!
The listing for this one said we should retain steering wheel controls but would need to change the temperature using the physical buttons which I'm fine with. I might also not be able to change the rear climate controls which I'm fine with as well. I also will need to wire up the reverse camera which I think will be the trickiest bit to do though.
I've ordered it today so will give it a go in a month or two when it turns up.

Has anyone done this to their LS? I'm thinking of pulling the trigger on the Black Friday event.

I've purchased an LS430 that matched my spec so no longer wanted.

Hi John and welcome to the LOC.
Are you going from the LS460 to LS430 then?
Thanks - no if I remember I needed to choose a car I had to register and then forgot about it ( I was also looking at an early LS460 at the time but decided that an LS430 would be an overall better proposition for me). I'm going to see if I can remove the car tag from my profile!

Quite a few criteria but hopefully someone out there is thinking of parting with theirs :)

Hopefully not! (the underneath is fabric which should help)
