  1. the problem was not appearent before the radiator was replaced.

    the radiator needed replacing as it kept emptying -  leaving a pool inside the engine compartment

    i dont have an issue there, but as someone pointed out - the car has 100,000 miles on the clock - not many.

    it is 13 years old (getting there)

    is still as quiet as it ever was.

    - but as Alex said at the top - the car is 13 years old, the "lifetime" of the ATF was up 10 years ago

    Im sorry - just that ive been through the mill with the garage about this.

    Ive just looked at a couple of youtube videos about changing the ATF.

    This seemed about the best.

    Do i need to flush the system? - this guy says that this procedure will replace 205 quarts of fluid - but 12 quarts remain in the transmission/torque converter.

    He says to repeat - 3 or 4 times.

  3. Can somebody tell me how to change this bulb.

    I cannot find any details anywhere.

    The lens looks like it has had water in it, and the bulb does not work.

    I am assuming / hoping that it can be changed from outside the car, and nit under the wheel arch,

    but I don't want to scratch up my paintwork.

  4. Gents (and Ladies),

    I'm not new to the forum, but have had a couple of years off.

    I sold my 1997 GS300 SE in 2010 - 109,000 miles - not a problem on it - but was made redundant, and it was a touch thirsty for my means.

    I am now in a position to re-buy and am interested in a GS 300 3.0 SE-L - the 2005 and later model.

    I know that on the earlier version the 2 things to look out for were....

    1. Cam belt change was due at 67,000 ish miles

    2. Due to weight of car and it being automatic, front wheel tracking was an area of interest.

    Do these 2 things still apply? - are there others?

    Be very grateful for some advice.
