  1. well i've advertised the car for a couple of weeks on autotrader now and had mixed interest, lots for the charger its self so I gave myself a slap at the weekend and stopped the laziness and took it off; which is a dam sight quicker than putting on as it happens :D. The only problem now is the car's original weakness of power is very evident

  2. Think the times come to sell the car, new house means i need a van , so i was wondering what sort of money i should look for it a 53 sport in yellow with th 18inch wheels its got the tte supercharger and uprated disc brakes and only 35000 miles, so what do you think i've seen standard cars of this type for anywhere from 9500 to 12000+ :duh:

  3. just a quick one really i've had ebc discs and redstuff pads now for a year and the front pads are now out, so its time for a change, especially as i found the pads to be pretty poor if not worse than standard for bite. I think iam going to buy mintex as comments seem good unless anyone knows otherwise, and if not where have people been getting good deals, cheers

  4. Just wondering if anyone's selling a supercharger at the mo iam in the market for one now and see them come up every now and again :shifty:

:offtopic: but where abouts in leicetershire are you mate???

Iam just outside a place called oakham 20 miles from leicester, why you in the area?

i may have one available shortley

Any details mat or is it still very much a off chance?

  5. without wishing to start any dispute as seen on other links in supercharging section who seems to be offering this sort of price i understand both TDI and prolex sell them. I first asked tte direct and the price was coming back around the 6500 euro mark a bit much i feel :duh:

If you feel you want one at that price send me pm me you number and i will have a chat :D

Cheers gord think thats the way ill head, ill be sure to give you a bell then, just fancy seeing if i can twist someones arm at a meet or something to take me for a spin in one to see the results

  7. After a days use of my friends new Nissan 350z I've been left intent on getting more performance from my IS200, still far prefer my IS but it now feels oh so slow compared to the 350. I see alot of people go for the charger option , but i was wondering if and how is the best to get the IS down to the 6 second mark 0-60 and more importantly roughly the cost, Is 6 seconds going to work out cheaper to change car :crybaby:

Cheaper to change your car mate :o charger is from about 1200 sec/hand to 2100 new, will help with the power :D

who offers it for 2100 new gord that seems resonable is that all in, does'nt the charger take it down to 7ish

  9. I've had my IS200 now for nearly 2 years from new and been well pleased with it ,just wish for a little more power, been putting a little money by recently and was wondering whats avalible to improve performance for £2000- £2200 mark, any more and its no holiday this year and the missus, well no more me.

  10. A few months ago i had greenstuff pads and drilled and grooved discs on and they where pants and after periods of hard braking they where smoking. The garage upgraded the pads to redstuff now which are a world better on the green but on instant bite its questionable if better than standard but over a period of miles on hard braking they deal with the abuse alot better and you dont notice any fade, base the decision on the roads you drive and style of driving rather than bhp

  11. Well i've now had my replacement EBC red stuff pads and discs for three months and they are alot better than the green, however its questionable if there better than the standards. There is'nt a great deal to choose, although over a long run they handle heavy breaking alot better and you dont get any fade or warping like the originals. After chatting with elite direct there now telling customers that you should be looking more at driving style over bhp, the ebc guide lines of anything over 200 bhp needs redstuff is a little weak when you think evos are a definate red stuff car they only have a increased top end of approximatley 20mph. So if like me you live near the twisty bits and you like the occasional hard drive and ebc's are on the shopping list dont even entertain green stuff
