Just tried to re gas it and I've got a big leak somewhere

Would that explain why the pump doesn't engage? Does it rely on pressure in system for it engage? I've bought a canister of gas, I'll give it a go if I can find the point to pump it in!

Has anyone else had a problem with the air con pump? The ac light comes on but the pump doesn't engage. I've checked the fuse for it and it hasn't blown. Any ideas?

They do look flimsy, and I hate the multifit 10 holes in each one. 

Looks like I'll be picking up my new wheels soon. A Xmas present to myself lol. These are the wheels that came with mine, they're ok but I don't think they're right

Thanks for the advice. I'm currently negotiating buying a set of DHP wheels which are my preference anyway

Nice, I  was after the dished, wider rears but they are really rare, but I've located a set like those and they look better than the ones on the car at the moment

I'm thinking about putting GS 300 ( mk1) sport wheels on my 2000 LS 400. Thoughts? Anyone done this before?

Hi, I'm attempting to change one of my front wheel bearings. I'm aware that I need to get the old one pressed out and the new one pressed back in, but has anyone done one? What's involve? Thanks

My 1993 LS400 does 250 miles with air con on , cruise control on and off 70-100mph on £20 of LPG! I love it, but it has to go due to my ever expanding family,

As it transpires and after browbeating and threatening to kneecap my local dealer (EDINBURGH, STILL NO DISCOUNTS :(), we came to the conclusion that the £800·00+ unit was not required as it was only the LCD panel which was faulty. This could be easily resolved by purchasing a new facia panel, this also includes the Air Con control buttons, and an absolute bargain at a mere £358·00+. This was duly purchased and fitted by myself in 10 minutes. Dealer wanted car for a day as they had never exchanged one, so they did not know how long it would take.

NOTE TO ALL:- This part was NOT on the micro-fische, it was only located by contacting Lexus Head Office! How many other parts are only available via a call to Head Office??? :flaming:

Wow-I have just brought a 15 year old LS 400 with the same problem-OOPS!!!

There must surely be a cheaper alternative...

Anyone any further ideas on this common problem-- pleeaseee ;-(

My LS400 is running on gas. Only had it a couple of months, but no probs so far. The chap who converted it seemed very competent, and told me to bring it back if I had any probs. I have his no. if your interested, he is just outside Reading

Hi all, does anyone know where I can buy a decent fitted waterproof cover for my LS400? I recently bought a "universal" on off eBay, and was told it would fit anything from a mini to a jag, but its no good for the Lexus!! Too small, and blows off in the wind. The car only gets used once or twice a month and has to be kept outside and Id like to give her a bit of protection.
