  1. Hi guys

I am selling my RX premium sport edition (72 plate, 21,000 miles). The car is up on autotrader and also available via Reverie autos: https://www.reverieautos.co.uk/used-lexus-rx-hatfield-hertfordshire-6052015 It has had 2 services at Lexus Milton Keynes and also had the anti theft plate fitted November 2023 (have invoice for proof). Comes with front and rear dashcams installed by Lexus which I will include.

Details of the premium sport edition: https://media.lexus.co.uk/new-premium-sport-edition-adds-style-impact-to-the-lexus-rx/

  2. Hi guys

I have semi reluctantly traded in my ES F sport tech & safety in Azure blue after 3 months & 2000 miles of ownership - for one of the in stock RX premium sport edition.

I loved the ES, but in the end we needed a bit more practicality as a result of a new born in the family. I had ordered the ES initially back in December 2021 before any pregnancy. Ultimately, the availability of the outgoing RX on a 3.9% APR + £4000 deposit contribution was hard to resist.

Fortunately, due to the price rises in the last year, I actually gained equity on the car. I am sure Lexus Milton Keynes will also make a healthy profit on top, but that is the nature of a part exchange. I was able to transfer my dashcam too.

So for anyone still in the market for a MY22 ES F sport - look at for one soon at Lexus Milton Keynes! It is in immaculate condition & I'm sure will be home to a very happy new owner.

Lexus Reading have a brand new unregistered Premium Sport RX (Sonic Platinum) for £50k (c£10k discount) on Autotrader, quoting 3.9% APR for PCP. Immediate delivery the advert says.

There are a few around the country in different colours. The discount includes a £3000 deposit contribution and another £1000 for existing customers as part of ‘Lexus loyalty’.

The cars have to be registered by the 16 of December I’ve been told. it’s a fantastic offer.

The Premium Sport Edition adds some cosmetics and features over the RX with Premium Pack, basically giving you the tech & safety pack as well.

I don't think there is anything an F Sport with T&S pack wouldn't have and obviously the F Sport has its own unique features such as the different styling, seats, instrument cluster, sports steering, sports dampers with active suspension, adaptive high beam, active sound control etc.

Info about the Sports Edition can be found here:

Thanks a lot. I've taken a deeper look and I think the only thing the premium sport edition has which the F sport T&S doesn't is heated rear seats.

  5. Hi guys

Apologies if this already been covered in another post. I am struggling to find the spec differences between the 2022 RX450h f sport tech and safety vs premium sport edition.

I know the F sport is more expensive but I want to know what exactly that has over the premium sport. And vice versa, are there any features the premium sport has that the F sport T&S doesn't?

I managed to find an old pricing pdf online: https://www.lexus.co.uk/content/dam/lexus/nmsc/united-kingdom/new-cars/pricelist/Price_Lists_Apr_2022_RX_Elr.pdf but this doesn't detail spec.

This one from 2021 includes details of specs but was before the premium sport was out so I cannot see a comparison: https://media.lexus.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/sites/3/pdf/lexus-rx-rx-l-price-list-2.pdf

    Thank you

Hopefully will be picking the vehicle up on the 19th. Been informed by the dealer it only comes with a quarter tank of fuel and that this is the Lexus standard amount. Anyone else got a full tank when collecting?

I got a full tank when I collected from Lexus Milton Keynes last month.

  7. I collected my car on 29th September & I must admit my handover experience was flawless.

Just over a week with the car and loving it. A step above anything I’ve ever owned.

Only complaint is I have a kid on the way so would have liked a bigger boot but this was ordered before any pregnancy so it’s no fault of the car! Plenty of room in the back for a child seat.

I thought I wouldn’t like the black alloys on the facelift as much as the smokey grey but I find they look better in person.

Collected mine today and had a pleasant drive home although it was raining and in the rush hour. The handover was OK, but I was disappointed not to get a handover gift that is normally customary, not even a bunch of flowers for the wife. When I bought my last car a Jaguar XE, I got a nice Jaguar umbrella and my wife a huge bunch of flowers. I will test out the other options on the car tomorrow, assuming it is still not raining.

Congratulations! Any chance of some photos 🙂

I'm due to be collecting mine this week but it has been a bit of a frustrating process. All the updates I have received are due to me chasing the dealer. Arrival in the centre, scheduling collection date/time, requesting the paperwork etc. The salesman that I initially ordered from had left and I think has been replaced by someone new, so i'll give him the benefit of the doubt.

Hopefully collection day will make the wait worth it.

Despite ordering mine end of January, I was repeatably told I would get the latest 2023 model at an extra cost after querying it many times with them. I then emailed them again yesterday that I was concerned that I would get the old 2022 model as they starting building it mid July when the the 2023 model was not due to start production until August. They have now confirmed today my suspicions that they have made a mistake the 2022 model was on the way to me.

So I have emailed them back to cancel the order and refund my deposit.

    PS

Just had an email from Lexus to say that it has arrived in the UK and is in transit from Portbury, a bit late now as I have cancelled, through my suppliers incorrect info all along, 7 months just wasted.

Sorry to hear that - must be really frustrating. I’m in an opposite position to yourself. The f sport tech & safety pack is being deleted for MY23 so had mine slipped into a MY23 production - even though I would have got the updated multimedia, I would have lost out on the 3 eye LED headlights and potentially the memory seats as I would have had to settle for the F sport.

In my case, I was told in July that mine would be going into production in July and was definitely a MY22 model.

I have just had a call from my dealership that my car is now due to arrive to them on the 20th September instead of the 3rd October, which is good news and they are going to be quick in completion. I have been tracking the ship I think it is on, the "Bishu Highway" which is due to arrive at Portbury on the 11th September.

I too have just been advised ‘mid September’ by email. I assume they are on the same ship 😉

The timing was way off when I got the message from the dealer that mine had just left the factory, it was at the dealers 10 days later, although I didn't track it myself.

By message from the dealer do you mean the notification from the My Lexus portal / app?

Got an update from my dealer that my car (F sport with tech & safety pack ordered December 2021) will be going into production this month with an expected delivery date of October 6th - although dealer is optimistic this will be nearer end of September.

Mine will be one of the last cars on the MY22 spec, so don't get the new software updates with Lexus link pro. But at this point, I'm not too fussed. The tech & safety pack has been deleted, so I may well have had a 'reduced' spec in other areas, had I received the updated MY23 F sport.

My car has gone into ‘build’ status today.

  13. FYI I went to order a Nissan Qashqai for my wife as we need it for January/February.

They had advised that lead times for factory orders were currently only 3 months, and to come back in order around October/November…

Charge more and remove some of the function

As you order Tech& Safety pack, did your Lexus dealership mention  any refund or discount for you?

Nope. In fact the general manager told me there will be a circa £1500 increase for me for the ‘improved spec’. Then said ‘we’ll see what we can do’ regarding the price.

It was only until I got home did I realise that actually the list price of the new F sport is LOWER than the tech & safety pack when I compared the 2 in more detail.

  16. 59 minutes ago, EVANGELION said:

That mean Fsport model will not come with driver seat memory function at Standard.

Correct - you would need the takumi pack. And unfortunately i was told if I wanted to upgrade to the takumi pack - I’d lose my build slot spot.

  17. So I decided to seek some further clarity on my order and went into the dealer to speak to the general manager.  He has confirmed that it is most likely now my order will have slipped into the MY23 production with an expectant September/October delivery. I ordered an F sport tech and safety pack end of December.

I managed to get some further details on the updated spec and I am not happy. The F sport tech and safety pack is being deleted and some of the features I would have got previously, are now only part of the ‘premium pack’ . Namely, 3 eye LED headlights & driver seat memory. Initially, the general manager told me there will be a price increase due to spec changes but when I investigated at home, the new ‘F sport’ actually has a *lower* list price than the old F sport tech and safety pack. Does this mean I will be due some money back?
