  1. Just cancelled my NX350h order, it was supposed to be ready March 2023 but it became unclear and on top of that, the price changed and it's not a value for money I expected. I couldn't get any discount, I couldn't get a delivery date, I couldn't get a combination of interior I wanted without changing the model to F Sport which I don't need and it was too expensive - the dealers are not interested, their attitude is like 'if you want a new Lexus, we know you must do what we'll tell you' and I don't like that, soon, the market will come back to normal and people will remember the dealers' attitude...

I've just bought a beautiful Audi Q3 Vorsprung, top spec, Black with collecting on Thursday and I can't wait for it 🙂

I want to thank you all for your input and wish you well and of course I wish you have a lot of fun with your Lexus which is an amazing car, of course!

    Take care!

May I make a suggestion, Kris.

A 16GB SD card is actually quite small.  What I have done is buy the biggest SD card that my BlackVue will accept (128GB) and keep the 16GB ready as a spare.

When we were hit by an HGV, I was able to swap them round to ensure that the video files were preserved intact.  When I format the card - which should be generally done on a monthly basis and which I do in my PC - I use it to ensure that the dashcam is always ready to go.

All the best with the new Lexus.

I'm totally on the same page with you. I will swap it with the 64GB, it's just the standard they are providing so that's why I simply stated what's in the offer. I asked the dealer about larger capacity card but it was not worth it. 16GB will be included.

Thanks for the suggestion, it will definitely help the other people as well.

Hi There, My 350H is coming in January 2023, I'd asked him about Dashcams he said this is not Factory fitted but a Dealer job (Lexus Twickenham) and they will fit Front and Rear and the make will be NextBase he was a bit coy about the Model and Price saying closer to time he'll have more info.

As you've already had the Dashcams fitted how much did they charge you?

    Thanks

Ordered with the new car, hopefully next year before March...

That's the reason I ordered self-charging hybrid. Looking at the pace of the technological progress I should be fine for the next 10 - 15 years, so for the lifetime of my car, I don't intend to use it longer... And all those cowboys in their Teslas bragging about how cool they are on LinkedIn went quiet when I asked how about a trip to Scotland or living in the North West where I live, not mentioned the energy cost - I think (and it's only my opinion) that the decision (=tax) makers will make our life 'interesting' once they unplug us from petrol/diesel. We will be paying for the roads' usage based on mileage being reported online from our cars like the energy smart-meters from our houses now or maybe we'll be paying just for the energy but on whole different level... How many times in the history the energy was really cheap, I mean like really, really cheap? I want to be wrong, please don't attack me - I'm ALL yours about EV cars - I'm just sceptical, down-to-earth guy who doesn't believe what 'experts on the telly' said and I think I need to skip this learning curve. And the chargers and this whole infrastructure is another thing to maintain, update, also another point of failure in the house, sometimes even a hassle, an obstacle. A lot of people agreed with me but they are afraid to talk, being accused of environmental murderers and not going with the wind of change. For me, this wind is not blowing hard enough yet. And once again - I wish the change will be different, I wish to be all wrong about all of that.

Only 12 days and here we go, first news about ppm, pay per mile...

is this going to be a common factor with EV chargers then ??

Having to move home to a good signal area to ensure you can run your EV car :wink3: ...  oh my !  bring on the V8 petrol cars forever

  6. The summary of all those 40 pages so far - no one knows anything. As I want only THIS car because it ticks not only my boxes but also my partner's, I'm just letting this all go and wait. And I'm sorry for people who sold their cars or they need it urgently. I would LOVE to collect it this summer and enjoy my holiday on a totally different level but it is what it is. I cannot change it as far as I can see.

I would hope that Lexus UK, and the main dealer (part of the inchcape group) would honour my order contract and not cancel / vary it etc. I paid the standard £500 to secure the order, at the order price, no matter how many other price increases may come along.

Is your car in the production queue? Because if not, the price can change anytime, according to Lexus:

"Important Notice. Pricing and specifications shown are for model year 2022 UK vehicles, and subject to vehicle production lead times, the model ordered may be built according to model year 2023 specification, that may result in a different price. It is anticipated that your Lexus Centre will advise you of the exact On The Road price once your ordered vehicle goes into production (at the latest), at which point you have the right to accept such changes, or cancel your order and have any deposit returned to you."

I've also just mailed the dealership to try and get instructions on how to get the Lexus Link app tracking the order properly as I can't see it.  If I get some decent feedback on how to get it done I will post here.

According to my dealer, the car needs to be actually put in the production queue and it will be assigned a VIN, then I can put the VIN to the app and start tracking the order? Anyone can confirm that?

If you are looking reliability, Lexus will not disappoint you although there is a few issue with the current NX software infotainment. There are currently rolling OTA updates to resolve it.

You missed out the lower price that was launched in September 2021. They marked up the retail price by £3000 for my spec.

I am not worried about the software, 25 years in IT, my life is built with software updates 😛

And I'm ok with the price, in Sep 21 I wouldn't have been thinking about this car or any new car to be fair.

This will be my first lexus. Have you test drive yet?

Nope, I'm showing blind faith. But I have seen the car at the dealer's, loved it from the first sight. And it's the only one my girlfriend liked apart from Audi brand. But I didn't want Audi, Q3 was way overpriced for me and Q5 would be too expensive. I wanted new car but didn't want to sell my kidney for it...

Happy to say my NX has arrived at the center. Spoke to dealership still need two working days to sort out the paperwork. Planning to collect the following Monday 😁

Wow, congratulations, I am really happy for you and I am waiting for some review and first thoughts. Have you ever had Lexus before? Because I haven't to be fair.

  12. I have never ever believed one word any customer service rep said to me. I am just nodding and trying to get to know and do my research myself. About Lexus - my delivery is planned for March 2023. Do I believe it? Absolutely not. Would I sell my car now based on an opinion of some random guy who yesterday was flipping burgers, today is working in automotive industry after a few hours 'training' and tomorrow will be working in any random place in the world? Of course not.

Hopefully we will get our cars SOON. How soon? The truth is no one knows. If anyone has anything in writing, please share with us, I will happily at least consider changing my opinion for a second.

That’s maybe good news for you 🙂 because  my order placed in mid March got an estimated delivery date of March/April 2023 . Looking at the estimated date for your order I feel production is ramping up

Thanks, I will keep you guys posted so we all can get a bigger picture together...
