I just wanted to share some some interesting observations I made in my NX 450h+ Sport S. It is a MY2024 version.

    • I am not able to have the posted speed limit visible on the 14” screen in the right lover corner. That option does not exist in the menus. Consequently when the car warns about speeds cameras I can only see the on the map but not in the right hand corner with the info regarding the posted speed limit and distance to the camera. Posted speed limit is however visible in the instrument cluster tighter with other roadsigns.
    • The car comes equipped with both LTA and LDA but I have never seen the LDA symbol on the dash. Not sure why this is the case. I have all the systems turned on and the behaviour of the car is correct (steering wheel vibrates if I drive over the lane markings without signalling etc.).
    • There are different views in the 14 screen for the energy flow, AWD and tire pressure than all that I have seen in videos. In my car the are 3D views of the car not the more schematic ones that I have seen.
    • Predictive Efficient Drive is also available but so far I have not seen any ”Predictive Deceleration Support” points on the map. Maybe the will show up with time.

These are my first observations after just over a week of ownership. Any other differences you have noticed?

Here a couple of pictures of what I refer to.

Probably one key and a wait for the tow hook, but you will enjoy your great new car. Have fun.

Yes I think you are right. Had a look at other NX ready for delivery and every single one only had one key fob and one small "manual key" that goes into a fob. Did not see any "credit card" keys in the cars but not sure about what grade they where.

  4. Looks like the NX 450H+ F Sport S I ordered 14 months ago has arrived at the dealer two weeks ago. It is just about ready but is still missing the tow hook installation. Seems to be some kind of delay getting them. Will probably pick it up next week and then bring it in later when the tow hook is available. There was no trouble getting mud flaps installed.

We have been told our 350h will move into the build stage this month. I therefore thought I’d have a little look on the app to see if there was a change. Well, all that’s happened is the ‘real’ picture of our purchased car has been replaced with a generic picture! Almost like we’ve gone backwards not closer to build!!

It could actually be a good sign. Mine did the same. The “real” picture had the wrong colour interior. After the car got built the picture that came back had the correct interior colour.

  6. Watched a video tutorial on how to connect apple Music to Lexus NX but the app that I have does not correspond with the one shown in the video. Is this function only available in the USA and not in Europe?

The video I´m referring to can be accessed here:

  7. Exciting news from Lexus regarding my order. It has just left the factory (again)! The build was completed on April 25th. It then had a well deserved one month vacation after all the hustle and and left Japan on May 27th. It travelled with Zeebrugge, Belgium as its destination. On 8th of June it changed its mind and started heading for Malmo, Sweden. Today it kindly informed me that it had been back to Japan and now just left the factory heading for Zeebrugge, Belgium. I sure envy my globetrotter NX. Would be wonderful to accompany it and travel the world and see new places!

My app only started to show the picture of NX when I got a build slot. If the app has consistent behavior then you should have received a build slot in July 🙂  fingers crossed

I had a picture at first but hen it went away and was replaced with the “drawn” one. About a week ago the picture suddenly reappeared in the app.

I ordered my NX450h+ in March 2022 in Sweden

Wow that is long wait indeed. I ordered my NX 450h+ Fsport S on may 17th 2022. Factory accepted the order on March 25th 2023. It left the factory on April 25th and on May 27th it arrived in Zeebrugge, Belgium from where it was shipped to Malmo, Sweden. It left Malmo June 8th for Hanko Finland. But have not received any new info after that. The transit from Sweden to Finland should take no more than two day but at present we are on day 10. Well the next step in the app is that the car would be at the dealer so perhaps that’s why it is taking its sweet time. However the distance from the harbour to my dealer is no more than a 3 hour drive.

All in all it’s now 13+ months since ordering the car and dealer has not sent me any info on when to expect the car. Luckily there is the app otherwise one would think they lost interest in selling me a car.

I took another look today while test fitting the detachable hitch. There is very very little room behind the tow bar structural beam.  IMO, I suspect this tow bar structual beam impedes on the damper attachment points or damper operation.

I had a closer look at the installation instructions an it looks like the swiveling power connector takes up the space the damper would need. As the lateral tow bar hitch assembly does not have a swivelling power connector the damper can still go in with the structural beam for the hitch assembly.

Just a warning the towbar electrics only power the socket they do not control the kick sensor or any rear warning alerts. The kick sensor is turned off on the screen and stays off, but the rear alerts need turning off each time you use the towbar.

Also beware of any recalls as these can reset the car back to factory settings and the kick sensor will then operate.

I have ordered a “extra kick-sensor so that it would work with the towbar. But as you say I do not believe it will be smart enough to understand if it is in use or not. Towing is something the Asian cars do poorly. Perhaps they do not tow stuff around over there.

I have been quiet about my vehicle delivery over the past few months due to a false 'gone to build and In Transit alert' sent by Lexus Customer Services through the App,  only then to have them cancel that notification with no explanation or reason.  Zero Communication from Lexus themselves and since then I was not sure if the informationj I was getting from the Lexus app was accurate.  Even my dealer was frustrated and did share the internal Compass system correspondence with me at all stages.  I cannot complain at the dealer here...  more on this later under another thread.

Anyway,  I collected my NX450H+ F-sport in Sonic Titanium today and I am over the moon with the vehicle.

Given the common topics and discussion points in this thread, and for those that are interested in the nitty gritty details:

Looks great, congratulations! Do you know if the reinstalled the Yamaha damper in the rear while installing the towbar?

As you can se it is removed but reinstalled with the lateral mount but not with the vertical one. Have asked my CS over thre months ago concerning this but still no answer…

My 450h+ has 18" wheels; these are not run flat but the car is supplied with a kit should I experience a puncture (I think it squirts a sealant into the tyre via the inflation valve to seal the puncture, and a gas to inflate the tyre). No jack or wheel brace was provided with the car, which I find extremely annoying. So much so that I bought myself one of each. A towing eye is provided; perhaps in case I need to tow someone else rather than be towed myself?

How hard is it to get a hold of a kit? My next set if tires will probably not be runflats (and the winter tires are already not runflats).

I don’t think there is any correlation between the 2.  The order “should” be on the Lexus link within a few days of the order, but often takes much longer. I ordered my 450h in June 22, order not shown on Link till early Dec. into build 22/3/23

My Lexus Link showed the ”order in progress” a couple of days after ordering the car in May 2022. Now received a notification on my phone that the order had been received by the factory. Received an email regarding this as well. the email states that the next notification I shall receive will be when building starts.

The status in the app however still remains the same but now I can see that build will take place in Toyota City and that it will be delivered to Belgium. This info was not there before. It seems like all stages of the process that Lexus provides info about is not covered by the stages in the app.

Anyway hopes are high that I won’t have to wait until august as earlier stated by the dealer!
