  2. It can't be a fuse unless it's loose.Sounds more like a connector or bad earth as you state that the fault is intermittent.Check for dirt, rust etc around your earth points.

Hi,Have already done that, but just been and tried again,by changeing the lead from the low beam ballast with the high beam it works ,so defo the ballast has gone.just didnt know that they were differant connecter leads on the low and high .

dont seppose you know of a ballast for sale do you .

    Regards, :whistling:

  3. Hi,

Can someone help me with a problem please.

I have changed both high and low headlights, for the hid with ballasts, been on the car for above 12 mths, with no problems.

Then over the past couple of weeks, the left nearside headlight low beam as been comeing on intermitantly.ie switch on lights no left hand one, switch on again and it comes on,and stays on.

Then after a few days the same side as failed to come on.

i have replaced the ballast and bulb, fuses (under bonnet by the battery)and still no joy.

So it seems it could be in the loom unless there is any other fuses that i have missed.

    Any ideas :crybaby:

  4. Bonded windscreens contribute to the structural integrity and stiffness of the car.  You may not believe it, but if the windscreen is not fitted correctly it will effect road handling and crash safety.

:driving: I had mine replaced about 4 weeks ago,by autowindscreen, they came to my place of work on the friday about 11.00 drove home at about 4 ish, noticed on the following day that the windscreen had sunk on the passinger side,so rang them ,arranged for the following friday, the problem in the first place was that there was supposed to be a thin rubber type strip around the inside of glass, that the glass rests on,but on the first screen it was missing, so the second one fitted purfect with no problem, all it cost me was the 60 excess.for two screens, lol

  5. You have projector lights :)

    Hi,

I have just fitted Hid kits on my gs300se 1999,so i wouldnt think that you have them fitted, think they only fitted them on 2000 upwards.

They make a hell of a lot difference though, (their bostin) as they say.

As for the h/light leveller its there for you to change your lights if, for instance you have a weight in the back, you can adjust them down. :driving:

    Hi Blackbird

Where did you get the HID kit from and how much did it cost?

    Matt

Its a company called Mobileautocare, on 01949837526, name is Andy, not sure if he has any more of 9006 tho might only have the 9005 which is the main beam.

You can ring him and find out. cost is a couple of hundred quid. :driving:

  7. these have a tendancy to be buckeled.. i would have them checked at a local car tyre place before parting cash.

The laquer will need to be stripped and repainted.. thats probably 60 a wheel.

I have had experience with these wheels so thats why i went aftermarket in the end

Hi,These wheels are as straight as a die, came off my own Gs300 se only last week.steering was perfect and no wobbles,so they are really ok.

just need a refurb, just had a good deal on some new ones thats all.
