Did they state how they are getting locked in their cars?

I’ve been locked in my NX450h on 2 occasions and both were my mis-doing, nothing to do with Lexus. It happened when I left the door open whilst installing a dashcam. Upon closing the doors whilst inside the car went into self protect mode and locked itself with me inside. I escaped by climbing into the boot area and using the manual boot release.
I since discovered that it was the low capacity 12V battery depleting due to leaving doors open for a (smallish) amount of time and that it is covered in the manual, had I bothered to read it.
Lexus clearly state to put the car into “ready” mode when leaving the doors open for such work due to the small low capacity of the 12months battery fitted.

Maybe the facebook users also didn’t read the manual 🤔

Why did you not use the manual door release?

Yea that’s right - there a very faint “v” shaped crease on the other side as well. I guess all nx350/450h will have some degrees of this but I guess I was the “unlucky” one with a very obvious one with this dash. If it was very faint then I won’t really bother but it’s very obvious in my case unfortunately.

Same as anything, once you become aware of a defect or fault however minor and immaterial you can't stop noticing and it then becomes  obvious. As for me, I don't consider this significant enough for a warranty claim due to the potential downsides (rattles etc, as you mentioned) but hope your replacement goes well.  I suspect there are many others with the same problem but unless you are in the right light and indeed siting in the passenger seat would not even notice.

Lol yea it’s a gamble isn’t it? As said I was not too sure about getting the dash replaced initially but the manager gave me some confidence. He did say it’s the first for them which is not surprising but did say they obviously did dash replacement for other models. He told me he would book it for up to a week so it would be done properly. He even said he would drive it himself to make sure it’s all good with no rattle 🤣 . Maybe a SMART repair could fix it but I can’t imagine they would offer it and I certainly can’t see any reason for me to fork out money to fix this myself (unless I just leave it obviously).

I actually notice the airbag indentation is now a bit more obvious at the top as well. See the photo - you can see the “V”. This certainly pulls me further for a replacement instead.

    Anyway wish me luck lol.

Looks like a smaller crease on the other side as well, checked my 350h and I also have these creases although only really noticeable (at the moment) when in my garage without any lighting on.

Was this order placed at Ipswich Lexus?

If so I am surprised by your comments since, after I ordered a 450h from there at the end of Jan 22, they kept me fully informed on progress via a telephone call every 2-3 weeks right up to the car being delivered to their premises late July

Same here for my 350h ordered in Jan 22 from the Ipswich Centre, kept up to date until delivery in Nov 22.

I moved the seat to its furthest forward position, followed by its furthest rearward position, then put the reclining backrest to its most upright position and finally to its most reclined position. I then sat in the seat and adjusted everything to its final position that suited me and "recorded" this by holding set with button 1. You can then repeat to hold configurations for other drivers at buttons 2 and 3. Details are in the handbook. Hope this helps!

Thank you, I tried this and have now been able to save seat settings.

30 x £41.75 = £1252.50 so it looks like you are getting a discount? There's usually an 'admin charge' included for paying by monthly direct debit. I was quoted £1.25 per month when I enquired in May 2022.

No should not accept an admin charge, simply current cost of the services included in the plan payable over 32 months for a 3 year plan less dealer discount, ask for at least 20% and more when negotiating a new car purchase.

I understand this. But the communication with MB is way smoother and easier.

Not fair to say Lexus standards are now poor, had a number of Lexus cars over the past 20 years and the dealer has again been good with the purchase of my 350h FSport.   Ordered in Jan 22, original estimate was end Aug to mid Sep and car arrived in Nov 22 - kept updated throughout this period.

I guess that blows my theory then. Good luck with getting a successful outcome.

I don't think so, I believe some dealers did fail to process correctly, and anyway there is always wiggle room as I found with the £1k additional incentive Lexus (not the dealer) offered last month.

We are talking about ruthless finance companies here. I sincerely hope that the OP gets the deal that suits him, however if it is in the terms and conditions its 'buyer beware'. There is always the 'unfair contracts act' but l doubt this would stand a chance as the contract has yet to be signed. With a bit of luck the OP will drive away the car he has waited so long for.

Ordered my NX350 FSport in Jan 22, estimated delivery of late Aug to mid Sep, arrived end of Nov.  Dealer honoured Jan price and kept the APR at 4.9%, as offered in Jan 22. Unhappy with adjusted trade in price offered in Nov 22 (although was increased by dealer over the Jan 22 value) but managed to secure the £1k loyalty discount running during Q3 on new purchases, although technically not available on an order placed in Jan 22.
