I think that is how it is designed to work, mine does the same. I read somewhere that heating the seat and steering wheel was the most efficient way of keeping the driver warm and comfortable; saves the energy of heating a big empty space.
Thanks for that, will be interesting to see if that will be enough to deice the side windows…

My first Lexus as well. I understand cold weather door opening can be an issue, and fuel filler cap sticking. Fixes have been released for both, might be worth confirming yours has had them applied.

Hi all, I have a climate schedule on the phone, front and rear demisters, heated steering wheel, and seats all come on, but no cabin heat is supplied until I start the car. Any ideas? Played around with the temperature settings, but no difference.

Yes mine as well…. Quality software.

Rats just when it’s going to hit freezing tonight, and I’ve got an early start. Hopefully fixed by the morning. Thanks for checking all….

Is the app accessible at the moment? Can’t authenticate…. Or is it just me?

20 days for me between arriving at the dealer to turning up at my company
-
For me I made sure the app was up to date, relinked my profile, and 24 hours later it appeared as if by magic!
-
Success, one day later, I have remote access, hybrid assist, and both mine and my wife’s profiles on the car. Right I dare not touch anything now!

Update released yesterday for apple users. It’s promising me remote services after I restart the car, now the question is do I feel lucky?

Yes the key thing for apple users, is not to click on the update button on the LexusLink + app, but to open up the App Store, and upgrade the app from there. How did this ever get past testing…..

Car is at Lexus, registration number allocated, now just waiting to be delivered to my company. Should be with me early November. 450h ordered in March. Now officially excited, wonder if the fleet manager will put a bow on it, and give me a celebratory bottle of wine, or as normal throw the keys at me, and tell me to try and not crash this one……

Yes it’s a company car, so I deal with fleet, not a dealer. Unless it arrives in the first half of October, then the company will not accept it until the 1st Nov. Some end of month finance restriction.
-
Does anybody know which ships are en route to the UK at the moment? Apparently my NX is at sea. Looks like it will be a November delivery to me.

Was a bit of a genius for mass production. Ford, for example, dictated to suppliers what type and size the crates that they delivered supplies should be. The wooden crates were then broken down and used for floorboards in the model T. Sorry, got a bit of topic here, if it’s any consolation I’d have accepted the car as well, but pushed the dealer for a discount and some free services.

Thinking of the other buyer, wheresoever, whomsoever, who also has a “ wrong car “
The one designated for you …… shame no one could track him/her down to make the desired swap ….. did Lexus even try that possibility one wonders
You haven’t just got the wrong car, the wrong car’s got you
And likewise your “proper car “ has been delivered to the now wrong owner
Wot a debacle ….. TWO messed up orders ….. TWO disappointed owners
The new car you have was certainly bespoke made to someone’s Order …… someone somewhere ……. surely !

Oh gawld, I’ve got a black interior being delivered soon, what are the chances it’s turned cream….

One more person suggesting you make sure the transit blocks have been removed from the suspension. Not sure on Lexus, but VAG they are plastic blocks inserted in the springs, thus limiting movement on the ships where the cars are packed in very closely.

My March 23 order is into build. Delivery Eta given as mid October. Looks like the floodgates have been opened

I see Nextbase will come to your home and fit cameras. Front and rear for £120. So current all up price for the 620 front and rear elite package is just £460 inc fitting. Is there any advantage in having Lexus garage do it, indeed do they just get Nextbase to do it at the garage and charge extra?
The only worry is, what happens is something goes wrong. Lexus warrantee will not cover any issues with a third party company hard wiring a device in. Given that the NX is a complicated beast, I’d prefer to get Lexus to install it, knowing any issues will be covered.

I believe the fuel tank on the hybrid models are pressurised, which in some way extends the shelf life of petrol.
-
Mine is a company car, so I deal with my fleet office rather a dealer. I’m not counting my chickens until I get the keys! I get update emails from fleet and that has come down from End of the year, to October in the last few weeks.

I’m in a similar boat. Ordered March 23 450h, 14inch display and sunroof. Apparently on track for October delivery. UK.
