just bought a 03 IS200, lovely motor but the box seems a biot notchy from 1st to 2nd gear is this normal

just had my 1s200 serviced at jemca lexus at Bromley.Although only 6000 on clock had to have 20000 mile service as car is two years old.
they collected car on time and did a good job on it .It came back nicely cleaned and valetted.Only downside I thought bill a bit pricey otherwise excellent service.
