  1. They have ordered the boot liner, but having to pay (I think)...pushed a bit far on deal so he said point blank that he could not throw in the liner when negotiating....but have yet to pay for it so see if it is in the car when I get it and if they remind me to pay for it then :D

Lexus Glasgow are very fair in my experience - if they gave you a really good deal, I suppose you can't argue if they make you pay for the liner. Don't forget to remind them :whistling:

Did you have the parking sensors fitted by Lexus prior to delivery or did they send it out somewhere for you ? I have the SE-L satnav with rear camera but the wife wants front parking sensors too (never happy that woman :winky: )

  2. hi fergy...congrats on your purchase...a couple of things

    1) Cahoot...similar experience here - allow 4 clear working days - Friday transfer to Thursday payment

    2) Boot Liner...a must if you have a dog or kids small enough to need a pram or pushchair everywhere you go. Notice you are in Glasgow - are you using Lexus in Glasgow for this purchase ? Depending on who you are dealing with there, you might find they'll chuck in the boot liner as a 'freebie' if you mention it :D

    ENJOY ! :driving:

  3. I did try that position but it kept swivelling round despite the flex being tucked into the vent. Also fell of once when going over speed bumps and again when I went round a corner a little (ahem) briskly.

So moved to the magnetic windscreen mount as I said above. When stopped, you just grab the unit off the mount and stick in the glove box without unplugging - you don't have to take the mount off the windscreen.

I only have two probs with my chosen position..

    1) not so convenient if I have a passenger (rare for me though)

    2) sometimes hard to read early in the morning (but that's due to my bleary eyes and the distance, not a limitation of the machine !)

...and yeah it takes an age to get online with the sats..

  4. Hi all,

Just joined up and wanted to say hi. Test drove an SE-L a few months ago and fell in love instantly ! After several months of saving, juggling figures and cutting down on the wife's spending (just kidding dear :winky:) I picked up an ex-demo 2004 SE-L with Wood pack in Stafford Blue last night ! Originally wanted the Brechin Slate but close up, the darker colour just made it look more of a car to me

My experience so far has been tremendous in all aspects - the dealer was great ( not pushy at all and answered all my questions promptly by email/phone) and the car is fabulous...just need to get Bluetooth installed and my ipod hooked up and the 8 minute drive to work every day could be extended to several hours !

I'm glad to have found this forum and look forward to contributing to the discussions

    Cheers :driving:
