Ive just obtained an HKS CAMP2 system - of course, the instructions are in Japanese/Korean/Chinese.

Ive searched for English versions (inc on the US and Japanese site) but havent come up with anything.

I cant get the thing to work - anyone an 'expert' on it?

Connected to IS250, 2010 model. Also tried a BMW X3.

No output on video at all. Ive connected to the OBD socket, and also tried disconnected the grey wire (as discussed on other forums). Not certain as to whether I need to provide direct power as well, although there are different voltage signals arriving at the pins.

Anyone know which cables (on the HKS) are power in ? I want to apply 12V without the OBD and see if I get any video then.

34.9 MPG isnt actually that good, surely? Other Hybrids are returning 60+ (albeit with smaller engines)

I was a SAABite for years as well. Got a 2004 RX300 SE-L in Dec 04, and no problems to date.

I've got one, a 7230 with colour screen. For checking email on the move it is pretty much unbeatable, emails come through instantly and its easy to read them and reply. The Web Browser isn't bad either. I used a PocketPC before to read email and that was very awkward.

For using it as a phone it is a bit big, so I still have a separate mobile phone and only carry the Blackburry when I need to. The 7100 series looks much better in that respect but it doesn't have a qwerty keyboard.

As to cost, no idea sorry, work gave it to me.

As Zee knows, I set up the Blackberry service for our work - Ive had both the 7230 and 7100 ('Charm'). The former is a squarish thinnish block just slightly wider than a box of ciggies; this has a full querty kbd. It was primarily designed for email and calendar functions, with phone as a secondary function, and as such was a bit clunky.

The 7100 tries to address the clunkiness by being shaped more like a phone (albeit from the 80's) and swaps a full qwerty kbd for multi-press and predictive text on an 'enhanced' numeric keypad.

In terms of functionality - both are the 'same' and excellent for checking emails/writing quick replies. Document/attachment support is 'basic' though.

All the phone operators have them (except Orange I think), and you can get them from anywhere for 'free' to £279 depending on tariff. There are two options - a corporate solution which requires the IT dept to have the infrastructure set up, or a Web host solution (mostly for home/non-corp use) where you direct personal emails (inc hotmail and other webmail) through it to your BB.

You will have to subscribe to a Blackberry and/or data tariff from £5 a month typically.

Sumamry - if work is giving you one, or you can get one cheap, and dont want a micro phone, get one. Its a great converged device, but does sacrifice the functionality somewhat of individual devices.

Alternative would be something like a PDA with integral phone, like the XDA's or IPAQ 6150 - these are superb mini computers, with phone capability - again slightly too large if you just want a phone.

If you dont mind revealing publicly, how much did they quote you?

I have noticed instances of cruise not resuming to set speed but I hadn't pinned it down to turning wheel. I thought it must have had something to do with the resume switch needing a signal of a set length and maybe I had flicked it too quickly. Once it's failed any further operations of the switch fail to resume until it's set again - as you say.

Might be down to the speed you're travelling - often cruise resume wont kick in under 40mph - which is what happens for me.

Now, I'm aware you can 'stop' the telesales by paying BT a fee, but i've heard it doesnt stop all of them...

Whereas, after a little searching around Trading Standards, it turns out, legislation introduced on 1st May 1999 and replaced on 11th December 2003 by the Privacy and Electronic Communications (EC Directive) Regulations 2003, makes it unlawful to make unsolicited direct marketing calls to individuals who have indicated that they do not want to receive such calls.

I registered with these just over a couple of years ago, and the reduction has been fantastic. Also, if you get some fly-by-nights who ring anyway, just tell them you're registered and they'll hang up before you can finish.

Doesnt seem to stop those companies who have offshore based operations (e.g Mobile Phone jobbies) or those companies who you are already a customer of, and have accepted to receive 'offers'.

Actually Id prefer to plug into the onboard Nav screen, and Im waiting for some modders in the US to get back with suitability of their kit, but if you or others have got more info, Id welcome it.

There have been a lot of posts about people intimating or nearly doing it or actually doing (Duncan, SteveAudio) etc but I cant find any clear instructions.

As well as plugging in the obligatory AV kit - DVD player (for use when parked, of course), MP3 etc, I want to put in a front view cam. A few people have commented on the difficulty with judging front distances, and I agree.

The 'bargains' on eBay would be just an added bonus.

The ICE you can get from dealers doesn't go near the head unit as it's only for the rear passengers.

The stuff on eBay has rolled off - there was one just before XMAS and one just after - went for £400 and £600 - good prices. Both were reported as Lexus original kit, 2 screens, DVD/entertainment unit, headphones etc. But no fitting instructions.

Anyone got any instructions for this ? There are a few appearing on eBay, all suggesting dealer fit.

Alternatively, details on the connections for the Sat Nav/Audio head unit would be appreciated.
